ANKENY, Iowa —Perfection is possible, especially for Ankeny senior Matthew Brucker, who scored perfect scores on the ACT and SAT.

Fewer than 1 percent of test takers score a perfect score on either test.

Brucker said he didn't do anything special to prepare.

“When it comes down to it, it’s mostly just having that really good solid foundation of all the things that it’s testing on,” Brucker said. “It’s really, when it comes down to it, being good at standardized testing and multiple choice tests, and I guess I just happen to be good at it.”

He hasn't picked a college yet, but he plans to study computer engineering.

Brucker said he never expected perfect scores and that he's just another student.

He kinda looks like a young Data from Star Trek TNG. Probably his positronic brain that gives him an advantage over other students. :)

That face and those cold eyes. I see a hedge fund pirate, perhaps a biopharmaceutical CEO. I see more, it's cloudy, I can't see . . . wait . . there . . . it's a federal indictment!

i know a kid that scored a perfect on the ACT. harvard, MIT and georgetown were his three finalists and they were all throwing money at him.
Absolutely. This kid is a "5*" recruit and national reknown, now. He's a Top 10 student, so to speak. Congrats to the young man for a job well done. Tests scores do not a success make....how ever, a gr8 40 time does not necessarily make a football player, either. However...it does create a lot of interest.

Harvard enrolled about 100 kids with perfect SATs the past few years. It's not that rare, and becoming much more common.

But the kids was perfect in both the SAT and the ACT..That is rare.
Eastern schools do not require ACT tests for admission for the most part...either do west coast schools.

Yeah, b/c most kids looking at the top schools don't take the ACT.

Look at that little narcissist. Look how he pulled back his hair to show that highbrow. Oh yea, he’s swimming in ass for sure.
