She got offered by Minnesota.
But check out where she really wants to go to school.

Isn't she an 8th grader? If she continues to perform like she has, I'd bet Bluder offers.
More importantly, does Chad have any BOYS?
I knew someone overly sensitive would comment. Why is that more important?

It’s rather simply, football > women’s bb.
Not even close.
This thread isnt about that however. It is about Maddyn.I knew someone overly sensitive would comment.

I don't think he was minimizing women. He just prefers football over women's basketball.Unless you have daughters who are basketball players. Or have daughters. Or like basketball more than football. Or realize they are both unimportant is the big picture.
Minimizing women ain't cool or funny.
Yep, my wife and I are looking forward to going to some Iowa women’s hoops games this season. Caitlin Clark is fun to watch play.I would love another greenway linebacker but that doesn't look very likely any time soon. I personally find that Bluder and her young ladies put out a pretty good product. not ashamed to say that I really enjoy watching them. not gonna see any slam dunks but you will see some good fundamental basketball. they deserve our support.
She’s only an 8th grader this year. See averaged 21 ppg last year as a 7th grader playing varsity.this was all talked about in the WBB recruiting for the future thread..... if I remember right she averaged 18 points a game playing varsity as an 8th grader..... she was a kinnick recently with a group of women’s recruits..... brought her younger sister along.... believe there’s three girls..... sure looks like Dad in that picture.... good genes Mom was an Iowa track athlete
All girls.....Great Hawk family none the less.......I knew someone overly sensitive would comment.

Do you mean high school varsity? She’s only an 8th grader this year. See averaged 21 ppg last year as a 7th grader playing varsity.
Yes, it was high school varsity.Do you mean high school varsity?
Wow. She must really be something special.Yes, it was high school varsity.
I'm not ashamed to say that I cheer all Hawkeye sports on, but can't make it thru a College or Pro Women's Basketball game, even one with Caitlin Clark in it. But go get'em girls.I would love another greenway linebacker but that doesn't look very likely any time soon. Crazy right? Its wild the different eligibility rules in different states. Some like Minn and Iowa you can bring jr high kids up . In Missouri 9 through 12 only. The varsity basketball coach tried to bring my youngest up to the varsity as an 8th grader, and said he would be starting at some point in the season. The AD reminded him that he would not be eligible as a senior, because in Missouri you only get 4 years of high school eligibility. He ended up starting by the third game of his freshman year....Yes, it was high school varsity.
Really athletic genes. Dad obviously, and mom was an Lady Hawk athlete, track I think...Wow. She must really be something special.

Has that changed. My understanding was that Jeff Horner played high school ball as an 8th grader as well...You cannot bring kids up in Iowa.
only in summer baseball and softball can 8th graders move up in Iowa as technically they are no longer in 8th grade.Has that changed. My understanding was that Jeff Horner played high school ball as an 8th grader as well...

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but I'm leaning towards the latter. It's great athletically but socially I could really see it go sideways.Yes. In Minnesota, athletes can play HS starting in 7th grade.

Well then he should teach them how to play football so they can come here and help Iowa win a national championship.....Chad has 3 daughters. And he is a true Hawk.
Francis - is that you?Unless you have daughters who are basketball players. Or have daughters. Or like basketball more than football. Or realize they are both unimportant is the big picture.

Wow time to get off the SJW war horse. For you to draw the conclusion he is minimizing women is ridiculous. It is nothing more than a desire to have another Greenwood play football at the same level that Chad Greenway did. But hey. Turn it into a male/female thing because there isn't enough division in this country as it is.Unless you have daughters who are basketball players. Or have daughters. Or like basketball more than football. Or realize they are both unimportant is the big picture.

Okay thanks for setting that straight Legend. My youngest played at the Futurestars invite camp in Des Moines at Drake after his soph year, and Horner and Bruner were there competing. I think that was the year before they went to Iowa, 2002. Someone there told me that about Jeff, but obviously that was not the case. No, he did not. Baseball and softball kids can play after their last day of 8th grade, but that is it.
