I have never understood it. Who cares what people say about the B1G? Iowa is done, it just doesn't matter. Our conference rivals like Wisconsin doing well is not good for Iowa. Glad they lost.
I think it makes Iowa look better when the conference dies well in the tournament. I would imagine it helps strength of schedule too?
Agree...to a point. I will root for Wisconsin to lose in most cases.
Simple economics. Costs of conference rivals doing well outweigh benefits long-term.
Same reason I love seeing the other Iowa instate teams lose as well.
What good is strength of schedule after you lose?
Educate me-does the RPI start at zero at the beginning of a season? If not, playing a final four team in conference play would seem to be a good thing.
I only root for other big10 teams in the conference. And only if Iowa beat them-so this Indiana game will be tough.

Once Iowa is done for the most part I really don't care how other conference teams do, That said, Crean really strikes me as a complete douche bag, Then you have UNC with saintly Roy Wiliams and his history of likely having half his roster that should have been academic casualties. I guess I will root for IU in this one, I dislike Williams more than Crean.
I typically like seeing the conference do well, except for Wisconsin and Minnesota. I'd love nothing more than their athletic programs to combust in a dumpster... well, I guess Minnesota's already has.
I don't think I can ever cheer for a team coached by Tom crean except for maybe if they played isu. Go Heels.
