Chicago Sports Network?

This seems so incredibly short sighted. I'm not switching providers to watch a shitty Bulls team and an even shittier White Sox team. I probably wouldn't even spend 5 bucks a month to watch that crap at this rate. I'll have to settle for watching Da Bears and Iowa basketball (men's/women's) to keep me through the winter and then WNBA (cannot believe I typed that) during the summer. I have ALWAYS watched all the Sox/Bulls games on the regional Chicago sports network so this change is a big one and will NOT make me a bigger fan or spend more money on their merchandise.

I can't even remember the last time I couldn't watch White Sox games...though I watched maybe 2 innings this past season because they were so terrible. No Cubs games either on YTTV.

They didn't have a very smooth roll out of the new network, did they? I keep hearing some things will be ironed out soon and more markets will be covered, but it looks bleak for now. I really miss the excellent Bears post game shows.
Marshall Harris did have a funny comment on the Score last week when this really took hold. All of the Sox games disappeared from tivo, too. So, if you were trying to balance yourself out some day, like maybe you felt really really good, and you wanted to mellow down, you couldn't even pull up a Sox game to bring you down a little.

I don't really care about the Bulls, but I would otherwise watch some of the Blackhawks. I've had YTTV for years, and it sounds like they're pretty much done with regional sports networks, so there's no hope there. Next season, when the Sox are on, I'll just buy an antenna. I'm only a few miles north of the Sears Tower, so I assume the reception should be decent.

Cedar Rapids/Davenport is listed under coming soon, for OTA

They really couldn't have picked a worse time to try this new channel given the collective state of the three teams.

It doesn't sound promising if its the start of the season with no Bulls. They said they expect it to work out but I'n not holding out hope. It seems like these battles with the main tv providers take forever.. isn't DirecTV still not showing Fox?

Agree on no Bears postgame.. all the streaming stuff on CHGO just isn't the same as the ones on NBC Sports Chicago or whatever its called

I'll definitely be okay with that if it covers a majority of the games. I prefer using the rabbit ears for OTA events anyway. Curious what soon means.. hopefully ASAP because the Bulls are going to be bad and I'm not sure how long they'll be in my good graces where I make it a point to watch their games lol

Not sure if it’s because of the switch to FanDuel because it was still Bally Sports Ohio at the time, but I tried to watch Blue Jackets hockey last week and couldn’t. Same Bally Sports account that I used last season. Same bank account. Same app. Same password. Same phone. The money was debited from my account and my subscriptions page on my phone showed that it was active.

But no game. Logged into customer support chat and after about 15 minutes of investigating, the dude informed me that I don’t have a valid account. Which is odd because the money I paid them was quite valid.

From what I've seen, this has been a rocky roll out, so I wouldn't put much faith in "soon" either.

Bears/Cubs/Blackhawks/Bulls fan here....

I haven't messed with it yet, but we're going to try running our Firestick through a VPN to watch the Blackhawks games on ESPN+

I don't really care about the Bulls this season, as I'm assuming they'll be perfectly mediocre yet again?

I watched a Bulls preseason game Directtv 665 as normal.
I think they struck a deal with Directtv.

At this point Directtv has no disputes so we are whole.
Check back later.

The big dispute locally is Comcast. Chicago Sports Network doesn't want to be on Comcast's highest tier, and Comcast doesn't want to pay to put them in the middle tier. IDK the market share, but Comcast is the biggest provider in Chicago.

The network might have more leverage on Comcast if people were itching to watch a great Bulls or Hawks teams...

Is your DirecTV bill over or under $180/month? We cut the cord with them about 5 years ago because their pricing was out of control.

Pittsburgh Sports network was bought out by a Boston outfit last year. It cost me $20.COMCAST to watch all the Pirate games, but all pens are free. When the bucs are off, they show minor league games.

CHGO has grown on me, they've come a long way. Its still not on the level of the bears aftershow, but it's a pretty good watch.

lol @ Reinsdorf and Wirtz thinking that anybody’s going to pay $30/month to watch these 3 bad teams on the streaming option

So it really sucks that the Bulls and Blackhawks are not available to watch on YouTubeTV /csb

First time in my life I can remember that I can't just turn on the Bulls game when they're playing. Dumb

Seems your best option is to move out of state to where you can get the out of market games.

Add another team to the NBA blackout list for us Iowans. Twolves, Pacers, now Bulls.

I remember as a kid in the 70s and 80s I could watch every Braves, Cubs, Cardinals, and white Sox games. I don’t think I can get any of those on YouTube tv
