Chicago Tribune Editorial on Kasich

Says what us normal conservatives have been saying for months. Really hope he hangs on and gets traction.

We all knew Nevada and South Carolina were dead ends, but I gotta hope Michigan, Ohio and others would go his way if he can stay in that long.

I fear from some of his recent comments that unless he does really well soon then he'll "suspend" his campaign. I disagree with his stance on planned parenthood, but overall he's a very likable candidate to me.

My wife and I are leaving for our caucus in about an hour. We have been at loose ends since Jeb dropped out a few days ago.

She has decided to switch to Dr. Carson. I am leaning to Kasich, but haven't completely decided. He is indeed the only governor left ... of what appeared to be a really fine group at the outset!(Jeb, Jindal, Walker, Perry, Christie, Kasich, and even Pataki)

I am still depressed over Jeb dropping out. He was head and shoulders above the rest of the field.

Oh well ... I guess Kasich will do.

............................

Edit:

I just reviewed his positions and actually he far surpasses anyone else left standing.

He is clearly pro-growth and pro-trade. He seems to have a judeo-Christian perspective on things without being a crazy from the Jesus wing of the party.

Kasich, it will have to be!

Why does anyone care about a candidate's religious beliefs?

Would it make Kasich (or anyone for that matter) any less of a candidate if said candidate was Muslim or some 'pagan' or atheist...?

It shouldn't, but sadly it does.

Employers are forbidden from making employment decisions based on religion, but the American people aren't beholden to this mandate when picking a representative.

o_O @ depressed over Jeb dropping out

With that being said, while Ohio is still a ways away. Trump leads in Ohio polls currently. Of course that can change, but I think Kasich is in trouble.

What's wrong with that? It sure beats the alternative...

His economic policies are lunatic too. He favors a balanced budget amendment and is a dyed in the wool trickle down acolyte.
