The author is not completely wrong but he is also off in some of his charges. Progressives have historically been on the side of making lives better for blacks and whites both. It is not an either/or proposition. He is ripping one thing from todays headlines while diminishing actions by other progressives. He has earned the right to express his opinions and they carry a lot of weight. I (from my recliner in the middle of white America) respect his words but disagree in part with him on this.
