Franz Wagner won B1G Freshman of the Week:

https://bigten.org/news/2020/2/3/maryland-and-michigan-earn-weekly-mens-basketball-honors.aspx

From the link:
  • Shot 63.2 percent from the field (12-for-19) and 62.5 percent on 3-pointers (5-for-8), making a career-best four versus Rutgers at Madison Square Garden during Big Ten Super Saturday

  • Posted a career-best 16 points at Nebraska, only to pass that with his first career 20-point game against Rutgers (20)
  • Stepped into the starting lineup versus the Scarlet Knights and set new career bests in six categories: points (20), field goals (7), field goal attempts (13), three-point field goals (4), three-point field goal attempts (7) and minutes (38)
Only problem is that THOSE AREN'T HIS STATS!!! At least not those related to the Rutgers game.

Here is the box score:

All of those stats belong to Brandon Johns, Jr.!!!!

He played ok, but only 10 pts, not 20.

Am I missing something? Am I going crazy? How could this happen?

He was only 2/8 from 3 for those 2 games, not 5/8.

Looks like they used Johns, Jr.'s numbers for Nebraska too - he had 16, while Wagner actually had 18.

So the only thing they got right was this:
  • Averaged 14 points, seven rebounds, 1.5 assists and one block in two Michigan wins
But they left out that he also averaged 4 turnovers in those 2 games. 6 TOs against Nebraska!

Good grief the conference has been embarrassing this year with stuff like this. Messing up spellings of football players of the week, messing up stuff from the big 10 historical record book. Makes it look like amateur hour going on.

You're expecting a big too much from the b1g ;). That is like expecting our government to have the facts straight!

Either way, I certainly hope CJ has goals a little bigger than another player of the week award.

Thanks for the link. I am a big fan of CJF and somethings not right about this past weeks games and him not being recognized. He scored as well as Wagner and played against 2 good teams in Maryland and Illinois.
B1G is no different than life.

Far from fair :D

CJ don't need no more of that stinking FOTW garbage,.. get it done on the floor.

Boo Boie or Carton, depending on it Carton comes back this year.
I agree on your other 4 of
CJ
Koki
Trace Jackson-Davis
Wagner

Was the player of the week picked on Sunday? They might not have counted the game against Illinois if that's the case. If the Illini game was included then the B1G is full of shit. As usual.

Cockburn, IMHO, isn't much of a basketball player. His most significant talents, it seems to me, are that he's 7-0 and 290 pounds. Other than that, he showed nothing against Garza and Iowa. Joe T is a far more talented freshman basketball player than Cockburn, but he is a foot shorter and at least 100 pounds lighter....
