CJ Injured again

Jerry Seinfeld Popcorn GIF by Sheets & Giggles

Jammed a finger in the Missouri game. Has splints on it now. Probably not a long term injury, but Kentucky is currently down 15. They could use a three point shooter about now.
Was watching the game when CJ was injured. Holding his finger in pain, but walking off the court with an obvious limp. Was weird.

Thankfully he’s not a one dimensional player.

Speaking with a few Kentucky fans here in Nashville. Most want Calipari gone and CJ to go back to Iowa.
And unanimously feel Iowa will win the football game.

I watched him play early this year and he earned an Oscar dealing with a hard foul. You would have thought he was hit with a bat the way he acted.

An injury waiting to happen . You breathe on him and he goes down. Can’t shoot worth a f^ck either. He did however get engaged to a UK women’s bball player. Yay. Hope he transfers out and takes Calipari with him.

I was watching 2nd half of their game vs UCLA on CBS week and a half ago. Never saw him get in and looked at box score after and only got 6 min. I guess he made his decision he'd rather play for a blue blood and is the 8th man with sporadic minutes instead of being a starter for Big 10 team and receive 30 min a night.

so you would rather throw the players under the bus than the coach? interesting take.
Not at all. Garza and Weezy were great players. My point is if you’re going to make an argument you need to be factual.

And yes, I agree Fran failed miserably with the ‘20-‘21 team. There was too much talent sitting on the bench in favor of guys who were slow, unathletic, and couldn’t defend.

sounds like you are agreeing with him? sure, luka and joe may not be on a current nba squad but they were drafted. does it sound better if he would have said 1 touney win with teams containing 4 nba draftees on them?

i think we are splitting hairs here and are all disappointed with the results based on the pieces we had.

He knew exactly what you meant. He was just being a dick.

I get what you’re saying. Luka was a great college basketball player no matter how you slice it. Weezy wasn’t bad either.

Yeah, the results have been disappointing as far as the NCAA tournament is concerned. I think the problem with Fran’s teams have always been lack of athleticism and quality depth. Fran has had to play too many guys who have no business on a P5 team. Case in point this year are the guys backing up Rebraca. Nothing personal against Josh O or Mulvey, they’re just not good at this level.

That, IMO, is why Iowa can’t go beyond what they have with Fran. Just too many guys on scholarship who shouldn’t be. I also think Fran really screwed up playing CMac at the 4 Garza’s last year. Yes, I get it’s positionless basketball, but Keegan gave you everything you were lacking: tall, athletic, versatile, and a great rebounder and defender. To this day I can’t wrap my head around why Murray had such limited minutes as a freshman.

Oh well. It is what it is.

Is that possible? I really mean it.
Anything is possible. How many dozens of posters were on here last year stating that Iowa's offense in football couldn't possibly be any worse? Brian took up that challenge and surprised everyone by rolling out one of the worst offenses in Iowa history.

Some of those same people were on here this year stating this is the best defensive squad in Fran's history at Iowa. Fran said "Not so fast my friend!". Iowa's defensive ranking on Kenpom is currently 101. Don't fool yourself. When you are bad at something, it can always get worse.
