Actually there were multiple times he passed up open 3s to pump fake and take contested long 2s.
Hes overthinking everything.
I thought after that first 3 of Joe W’s went down that last night was the game he was going to pull out of his funk.
CJ was working off the ball really hard. IL was guarding him close and hard. He was getting no good looks after that first 3 he made as I recall.
I don’t see those dynamics changing in the BTT as the other B1G teams know how to defend this team. I’m optimistic in the Big Dance that opponents will be so focused on Garza based on reputation that they will play CJF and Joe W straight up where they can do some damage.

Teams aren't playing good defense they are just Mugging CJ and Joe. We might as well get used to it because it's how the Big Ten wants to play. Have to throw Elbows or drop someone with a moving screen. Put Pemsl in line up Frazier at the Top and KO him.
JW certainly is...CJF is flat out getting mugged.....need more sets for both of them....
Maybe when we get done playing B1G rugby and get back to playing basketball in the NCAA's, they'll magically rediscover their shot.
Wrong. Joe needs to learn how to shoot on the move (off the dribble pull up and step back). He’s not getting spot up looks at three. Joe not bad attacking the basket but he is struggling there right now due to the fact that we have Luka posted up down low creating a lot of congestion. Smart kid and hopefully he can right the ship moving forward.
