Low ankle, not night. Probably a no go for Tuesday Penn St looking more likely according to @Suterman
If he has been practicing, that is great news. I would not rush it..
If he is near 100% and won't be risking re-injury, I agree.Yeah but 3rd place in the Big 10 is on the line, so I hope he plays if able
Sorry if it’s buried in another thread but haven’t seen much on CJF. Anybody have an update on his ankle recovery?

MSU is winnable.
There are braces that can help stabilize, but nothing will allow him to play uninhibited without reinjury risk. The firmer the support, the more his natural movement will be inhibited. Is there any kind of brace to wear so he does not aggravate or injure it again?

ThanksYes, there are braces and a skilled trainer (which Iowa has) can tape. I believe John Strief retired but he taped my ankle many times back in the day.
Hell second place is up for grabs right now if we win the next 2 or 3....Yeah but 3rd place in the Big 10 is on the line, so I hope he plays if able
Those atrocious D performances on the road came after pretty quick 3 day turnarounds (outside of the Indiana game), fyi. The MSU game is on 5 days of rest, so hopefully that allows Iowa to bring their A defensive game.Agree. Even though Sparty looks beatable this year in East Lansing do any of you think the Hawks will pull off the upset with CJ? Iowa never plays well there and their defense on the road has been atrocious.
If he's ready to play 100% or close to it, play him even though I think Iowa loses. If not, rest him as I think Tues is gonna be a loss anyway. Hope I'm wrong.
Technically, Iowa can still win the league.2nd place
Thanks
You played for the Hawks? what yrs
Agreed. While I appreciate Mr. Hummel's optimism, I disagree as I don't think CJ will risk further potential injury by trying to go tonight. Just my gut instinct.
it will be interesting; Fran said that he had to be able to cut and I am not sure if they are there yetRobbie Hummel is a smart guy. I think I agree that
CJ will play some minutes, tonight. He will not start, but may
spell Joe T for a bit. GO HAWKS !! #HawksByAMillion
