Can we get a few more refs standing right in front of camera? That bald dude stood right in the middle the entire match. Annoying

If Clark is going to keep wrestling this style he might as well switch to Greco. Letting people in on his legs way too easy and relying on head pinch and chest wrap way too much. He'll never be top 3 at his weight in freestyle like this.

Yeah, Clark is the kind of guy you can count out after losing a match. He's never been able to adjust and beat a guy after taking a loss. Not much heart or desire in that guy.

Love Cory's talent, guts and accomplishments in a Hawk singlet.
But here's my theory: If you get taken down with any regularity in college, you need to fix that before you'll be elite in international Free.
e.g. By their senior years, Gilman and Ramos were almost never getting taken down. Cory got taken down a bit more often (and found ways to compensate with reversals, RT, nearfalls, etc). But defense on the feet is a bigger part of the game in free...

I don't think he was saying that. Didn't get to see the Spain matches but the U.S. Open matches were exactly how T8 described. You might be able to beat some guys like that but a solid fundamental international guy will beat you almost every time. BTW...I heart Cory Clark and think the world of him.

<<He'll never be top 3 at his weight in freestyle like this.>>

He may be right. Clark may need to adjust his style to compete at this level.

I was simply saying that counting out CC is a bit premature. Some guys never "figure out" why they are losing or make necessary adjustments, CC has had a knack for that over his career.

That is not at all what I'm saying. Clark is one of my all time favorites. Kid is as tough as nails. But you must not have watched his matches at the US Open because what cost him there was the exact thing that he gave up points on against Graff. So no adjustments have been made since his last competition. He just needs to get more offensive with his leg attacks and he'll be fine. And him wrestling Greco wasn't a knock on him either. I remember him spiking guy's off the back of their head like it was his job at Fargo. He's got Greco skills.

Key words "like this"

If he adjusts and stops letting dudes grab his legs it is no longer "like this"

I don't think anyone is saying he can't figure it out.

During Clark’s recover from his shoulder surgery, wasn’t their talk that he was going to Greco? Perhaps this is still in play?
