Beautifully shot
Shit ton of politics I forgot about
Can definitely see how the story of Lawerence influenced Frank Herbert
Peter O’ Toole was one good looking guy.
That ridiculous nose on Anthony Quinn
The French Ambassador stole a lot of scenes with little dialogue

There's a couple scenes that always come to mind for me in this movie. Sort of "this is the reality of what it's like in this region" scenes.

Early on at the watering hole, Lawrence's guide at the well that was from a different tribe getting shot by Sharif's character.

The Lawrence line "yes...that" (referring to his now dead guide) always sticks out to me.

Then the scene where Lawrence has to execute the guy he saved in the desert to save the desert crossing to Aqaba and Quinn tells him after (paraphrasing) "see, we told you it was already written and you should have left him there to die".

So many small moments in that movie that when you add them all together...

Always curious in these movies of how much is legend vs reality. Granted it was made in the early 60’s. 45 years or so after events. So decent historical record. Still the bones of the story are fact. A young British Officer leads an Arab Army unheard of since the Moors. It sounds completely fictional.

Great movie i'd love to see on a real big screen. it's not easy to capture the infinite emptiness of a desert on small screen.

With Syria falling again. Think it’s going to be similar to the scene at the town hall initially. Lots of arguing and old grievance's reemerging. Good luck to the people of Syria. Thanks British and French for carving up the Mideast regardless of tribes.
