Clayborn Week is here

4th quarter, nothing happening. You almost sense that Clayborn is like, "screw this, gonna make a play." Proceeds to find ball, take ball, score touchdown. Game over. So beautiful.

Their big revenge game. Hyped through the roof by ABC and the announcing crew. Statements abound from Daryl Clark and other PSU players.

Then... Iowa kicked their asses. White Out be damned. I partied that night. So did the team. That was a great, great win.
I was actually AT that game. My friends and I were tailgating all day and by games end we’re in no mood for for the Iowa fans cockiness. As we were leaving a few of them felt the need to rub it in and I took matters in my own hands and taught them some humility, the good ol fashion way.
I don’t condone violence but when when you visit Happy Valley you don’t disrespect the fans, players or especially the coach.

I remember when it happened, someone posted that it might be the greatest "individual" play in Iowa football. In that in most great plays, someone had to block, throw and catch the pass, a good long snap and hold, et al; most great plays are team efforts.. Adrian did all of this on his own. The team was even not trying to block the punt. We were in our base defense. He overwhelmed an admittedly under-sized blocker, blocked the punt, got the good/lucky bounce, and ran it in. Needed no help.

You hear this huge "whooomp" as Clayborne blocked the punt. Old Joe walked down the sideline on his way back to the dressing room to change his Depends and happyvalleylion cried in Jerry's arms.
