They restructured his contract and he is basically guaranteed to be on the team until 2026. Cutting him prior Will be too big of a cap hit. Now, being on the team and actually playing are two different things. I think your right, they are moving on, even if he is still on the roster.

I think not. They don’t want him. Watson doesn’t want to be there. However, no one else wants him, either. It’s a hot mess in Cleveland.

Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson has had a setback while rehabilitating his torn right Achilles tendon, according to GM Andrew Berry, who said the team will know in the coming weeks if Watson will need another surgery.
