Didn't see this brought up, so maybe I'm delusional....but didn't the clowns boo Campbell for punting from his 25 with the lead?

I can see why nobody wants to go or stay there!

They were not seriously booing. Trust me. I was there. Crowd was as pumped as I've ever seen/heard it. That's funny, though.

I forgot to set the recorder, so won't be able to watch the game until it's replayed. It was interesting to listen to a few minutes. Thanks for putting it on here.

Boy, the announcers do NOT seem happy that TCU is losing. Was it that way all during the game?

Campbell had the balls to go for it once on his 37 I believe on 4th and 1 in the first half. The guy can coach. The continued Iowa State threads trying to mock them shows how crappy the Iowa program has truly become.

I love what Campbell is doing but I couldn't agree with his first decision to go with it on 4th & 1 on his OWN 37. I thought that was nuts early in the game.

I would agree. I hate conservative play calling but that was too ballsy for me at that time.

Some times you have to gamble. I'd prefer a coach who takes some risks now and then. It cost him the Iowa game when he stayed aggressive but they lost the Baylor game last year by being conservative. But I'd prefer a coach who is aggressive vs. Konservative Kirk.

Yes the announcers were in it big time for TCU, no doubt,.... Congrats on the big win LC, your Cyclones looked good...

I didn't hear the boos, I wouldn't have done it, but I would have gone for it too. Just my opinion.

As far as booing goes... Hawk fans booed Adam Shada on senior day as he was walking out onto the field with his family. Might not be anything lower than that.

Yeah I was there that day, there were no boos.

I asked about this on the board. A couple of guys said the booing was because they thought the spot was bad and should have been reviewed.

There definitely was booing, but NOT because of a decision to punt. The booing was directed at the referees, because of a supposedly bad spot on the third down run by Montgomery.

I am talking about when he had the balls to go for it on 4 and 1 on the 37. Guts, I like that.

Maybe a couple of people sitting near this guy booed, but I was there....I heard no booing. All I heard were cheers.
Plenty of people booed and it could be heard. It was embarrassing and it was the talk of the internet for sometime.

No, "plenty" of people did not boo. Again, I was there.

There was speculation ahead of time that he might be booed. Yes, there were a few knuckleheads, but not near what you are implying. Like I said...I was there and did not hear any.

He was booed and on several Iowa sites there was plenty of discussion about it. And he is not the only Iowa player to have been booed by fans either.

I thought it was a bad decision, but not as bad as the one he made on the second possession at Texas Tech the week before.

On our first possession, Kempt threw a pick that was returned to the 7, and the Zorros scored a touchdown. On our second possession, we had fourth-and-one at our own 36. We went for it. Made it....BARELY. Seemed like a horrible decision; giving Tech another freebie would have been devastating. But it worked.

You are exaggerating. I was THERE. I'm pretty sure you were not. You are just trolling. There may have been a few isolated boos, but I didn't hear them. End of story.

I hate clowns. I think its super weird an adult wants to put on makeup to be around children. Creepy sons of snitches.

So there actually was booing and you are wrong. But u were there at least, that is funny.
There was no booing of the decision to punt. There was a lot of booing of officials throughout the game, as per usual.

That is how you start turning your program around. Fry gambled way more in the initial years.

Sure. That is why everyone was talking about it on the forums after it happened. Sorry you didn't hear them but a lot of other people did.

No, Mr. Cyclone troll.....EVERYONE wasn’t talking about it on the forums. In fact, the talk was about how people appreciated the fact there was very little booing (only from a few scattered knuckleheads).

Non-issue. Why don’t you go back to cyclone fanatic and discuss your own team instead of hanging around a Hawkeye board? Oh, I forgot.....Little Brother Syndrome.

Of course I linked a story written by someone about how he was treated on senior day....and that makes me a troll. Right. And yes, it was discussed on several forums.

It was discussed on several IOWA forums. Iowa fans have a history of booing players and coaches. Remember the discussions about the booing and people saying they weren't booing players but the play calling? And people arguing that the players don't know the difference? All discussed on Iowa boards. Haven't been on a cyclone board. Sorry to disappoint you. Now run along and go worship the Ferentz Family.
