Yes. I'm embarassed to say he would've had my ankles with every reach he made.Well done. Hilarious!
Not sure, but I heard he spoke to Hulk Hogan once, so kind of...................Does the softball coach have a background in wrestling?
Per the "Mat vs Bat" promo flyer:Does the softball coach have a background in wrestling?
Was the entire match staged like a pro wrestling dealio or was it as legit as it could get?
They said he was actually a state champ in high school, although very little about the whole thing was serious. Probably true.Does the softball coach have a background in wrestling?
I'd agree with look's take above. Maybe very generally scripted, but mostly just Smith toying with him and yucking it up in the process. Was the entire match staged like a pro wrestling dealio or was it as legit as it could get?

Don't be a party pooperYeah it was very scripted from the beginning. Kenny ran right At Smith and shoved him and Smith accented his flying backwards onto his back. Later, they locked up and Kenny did a couple helicopter spins with Smith's legs 3 or 4 feet off the ground.
Funny for sports fans. Maybe, not so much for conventional wrestling fans.
Had a beer with him in Iowa City after Nationals "back in the day". He was a good dude back then too.I'd agree with look's take above. Maybe very generally scripted, but mostly just Smith toying with him and yucking it up in the process.
I've really come to like and respect Smith over the years. Seems like a genuinely good dude who loves the sport and respects others. There's a long and largely very positive relationship between Iowa and Okie State, despite the rivalry. Smith was great this past spring at the OTT's, participating in a really cool panel discussion, reminiscing with Royce and Lewboo about the good ol' days, etc. Would be blast to have a beer with that dude.
Just remember to give him time to unwind after a match before you try to talk to him. Too fast, even after a win, and the conversation might be short. Otherwise, great guy, loves the sport, and MOST of the people around it!Had a beer with him in Iowa City after Nationals "back in the day". He was a good dude back then too.
Always enjoy seeing the OSU ladies in Iowa City and at Nationals.Outstanding.That was hilarious and entertaining. I wonder if that is the first lateral drop Smith ever hit. I loved the way the girls did the prematch dance. I guess I am not as old as I think I am. I am starting to see what Tognetti likes about OSU.
