if Kueter goes instead of Hill, then the allocation is lost, he has to finish top 6. instead if Hill goes, he can make it finishing top 7.
That’s what I thought. A few were saying here and in another thread that this means Hill is going. Maybe he will, but this isn’t an indication either way.
Yeah, Kueter’s name was submitted for seeding purposes. Something would have changed in the last 24 hours for it to be Hill. Barring an injury, it’s going to be Kueter.

Hill is ranked 33rd in the coaches ranking. His name had to be submitted by Iowa to be ranked. You can only submit 1 wrestler per weight. However, Kueter could still go at Big 10’s but the Big 10 would lose an allocation. Not sure why they would submit Hill’s name and then switch to Kueter.
I explained this before if you submit Kueter and he gets hurt before big 10 you cost Hill the allocation. Putting in Kueter does nothing for allocations.

We will know for sure on Monday when the Big 10 pre-seeds are released.
And if you put him in and he gets hurt before Big 10s and Hill wrestles they don't get the spot back. So putting in Kueter doesn't help Iowa in any way
I get what you’re saying but it’s not Iowa’s spot. It’s the entire Big 10’s. Either top 7 qualify automatically if Hill goes at Big 10’s or top 6 if Kueter goes. Do you think that really goes into Brands thinking?
I understand it's not Iowa's spot but you hurt Hill by only making it 6. A few weights aren't decided but the guys who would allocate were entered. It could be Teske , Rathjen and Hill but when they entered them that wasn't decided
And I take it the only reason we should care is if Kueter (or Hill, if Kueter got hurt before) placed worse than 6th at Bigs, correct?
Well I think Hill specifically and it would be lower than 7th. If Kueter wrestles they lose the allocation anyway and he needs to place top 6 to be guaranteed. Otherwise he would need an at large.
