Cody Chittum

Cody Chittum, Charleston, Tenn. Born: March 28, 2003… Age: 19

I know graduating high school at 19 seems to be the norm for top level wrestlers these days.

Chittum will be 20 years, two months, and some change when he graduates high school.

Is graduating high school at 20 the new normal now?

What are you talking about? Chittum already graduated high school. He also just won Fargo which is based on birth date.

Awful troll. Just awful.

From the USA Wrestling site - USA Junior division=
* Born 9/1/2002 & after, plus enrolled in grades 9-12

USA Cadet = born in 2006 or 2007

Just that Fargo does indeed have specific age/grade requirements and thought this may go to a place where those actual parameters might be helpful. Is that what you're asking?

Are you insinuating the graduating class of ‘22 were not eligible for Fargo? If so, you would be incorrect. Many of the champs and AA’s graduated this past May.

You’re missing a nuance and it’s that 2022 grads are counted as high schoolers. Looks like the rule was put in place so that younger athletes who attended college last season wouldn’t be eligible. I’m still not sure if you were trying to play gotcha or not but it’s tough for any horrific gotcha in this thread to match that of the OP’s.

We used to have an iteration of “Jake Roberts” on this board who was interesting and informative. Thinking the OP and that guy aren’t one in the same.

Crabby isn’t around anymore to defend your yearly pot stirring posts. Move along.

Just trying to help, really. And yes... familiar with the "rule" that current seniors are still considered seniors the summer after they graduate from high school.

Yes, that's how they play summer baseball on their HS team.
