If you guys follow pro (fake) wrestling at all, you'd understand how ESPN works. They play to the favorites and troll the up-and-comers and other programs, especially ones with as socially vocal a fanbase as ours enjoys being (just sayin).....................
Basically, ESPN and other pundits liks Colin Cowherd etc are playing the
heel to teams like Iowa, and a lot of it has to do with our fans reacting to it (doesn't matter how, just that we simply do...)
That, and/or I think they realized back in 2009-2010, if they truly believe in Iowa, and want them to actually do good, then throwing them under the bus, underrating them, and pretending they want nothing to do with them (2009), instead of singing their praises for months and months until the ship has finally sunk 10,000 leagues into the dead sea (2010), is the best way to go about motivating Iowa to do that............................true story, btw.
If they really wanted Iowa to crash and burn, they'd be kissing our arses WAY more than they are now (which some would argue they really aren't at all), and then immediately turn heel on us once we drop a couple games. (though to be fair, some of that was also the result of bitter media people being burned by predicting Iowa to win big in 2010)
So bring on the haters!!!
