What makes anyone feel CSU has any relevance to anything related to Iowa?

It's amazing the people who have the gumption to accuse others of being snowflakes when their entire myopic point of view is steeped in their feelings.

The Iowa program wasn't perfect. Positive changes seem to have occurred. The continued butthurt some continue to express is astounding.

Here we go again with these senseless declarations that Black kids dont know difference between racism and work ethic. For decades, white people have rationalized and concocted every possible excuse for what is NOT racism as declared by Whites. Because of course, the country is not racist anymore.

good grief. The idiotic trolls will start to re-emerge

Husch-Blackwell is raking in the dough this summer.

It’s kind of hard to believe that CSU’s new coaching staff is so extremely racist when they’ve barely had any meetings or contact with the team.

I think Addazio just got to Ft Collins in June. I’m pretty sure he was stuck in Massachusetts most of the summer.

But I suppose anything’s possible.

of course they have something in common with Iowa it's called black lives matter and Robert t green. and yes it is built entirely on feelings and emotion and not on anything of substance

That's overly simplistic.

We need constructive dialogue in this country. Too many people who think they have all the answers are undermining this process. There are substantive points being made across the board but so many are too busy virtue signaling or coming up with solutions in search of problems.

Try listening once in a while.

we listened when they burned down the AutoZone in Ferguson Missouri and now the exact same thing is happening again and we dang sure are listening again while the 2020 version of ferguson happens so we are going to vote for the opposite of that. If they can't burn down physically a football program -they can take it down with feelings and words. Thank goodness this year might not happen due to The Covid panic which is also craziness and also not built on substance but rather built on panic and fear and feelings and emotions.

There might have been originally some very substitutive points both in Ferguson and now in 2020 I agree there probably were ... those are long gone when they are takien over.. the movement has been hijacked and taken over by radicals and criminals... it's a shame.

Science isn’t anything of “substance”? Have you read any of the scientific literature on COVID? Go to google scholar and read some recently published papers. Science is the exact opposite of fear/feelings/emotion.

You clearly have not read any of the recently published literature out there, nor do you seem to understand what science is.
in order to have science you would have to have a control group. Just like with climate change we would have to have a control earth. We would have to have an earth, a planet right next to Earth with no people inhabiting it. Then have an earth right next to it with people on it. And let those people survive for thousands of years. See if they altered the climate as compared with the other Earth I have nobody on it.

So since this virus is a ghost virus and nobody knows anything about it, then we cannot possibly have science, where we have a control group of people with the virus and people without it to see who gets it and who doesn't

You're right, we should only listen to the old white professors and politicians who say everything is racist. Believe what we tell you, no need to have an opinion of your own. Oh, and don't dare question anyone who is black, they know racism. Good grief man....

Oh so you are a global warming denier too, that’s great... It is very clear that we are putting extra carbon into the atmosphere and that is 100% accelerating the increase in global temperature. But just keep denying anything that science puts out there that’s inconvenient for you, seems to be working well for you thus far...

This is a wonderful encapsulation of the problem. It's not us vs. them. Other people's bad behavior has nothing to do with individual student athletes at Iowa. Each person deserves to be viewed as unique and the merits of their experiences judged accordingly.

that's wonderful but in the case of Chris Doyle I don't think there was any bad behavior at least none that could be proven. somebody was fired over opinions .

by the way, " denier" is a tactic. a political tacttic. it sort of quit working in tbe 50's or 60's

Someone being fired over "opinions" is not unique to Chris Doyle.

Whether he did or didn't deserve to be fired is not germane to the point. Recruiting student athletes to a P5 football program is an ultra competitive business. If many of the athletes you serve aren't buying in, then you have to go a different direction. It's just business.

But they aren't in the Army.

Edit to say yes many of the players need to toughen up a bit and stop acting like entitled celebrities.
And what Doyle did was nothing like the military. In the military, they build the recruits up after tearing them down. Doyle just hammered until the problems went away.

What Iowa players endured isn’t nearly as tough as the military. If they couldn’t handle Doyle then they’d be gone in Day 3 if basic training.

LOL. Speaking of trolls. Good job.

Here we go with the whole military thing again. They are playing FB, not going to Afghanistan. If they wanted to do that they would enlist at 18. I’m sure onionman you served 4-5 tours of duty so you can tell us all about, correct?

Is it really that hard for people to understand when people compare it to the military they’re talking about discipline, accountability, unity etc? They break your weaknesses down and build you back up.

Iowa tries to make you the best player and man you can be, some just don’t agree with the techniques they use. Yes, some were offended by how it was done and some of it crossed the line. They’re learning and changing which is what every good organization does.
