I didn't see anyone post a thread.

I had Gameday on this AM. Feels like now they are just screwing with these kids kicking a FG for $. Everyone dumped $200k in, then doubled down. Guy this AM was kicking for $1.2 M. And he missed wide left.

I wonder how the taxes would work on that.

With the expanded playoffs, the conference championship games have a different significance. The SMU coach commented that if the ACC game had to be canceled, they'd be in and probably a top 4 seed. They play a bonus game, and if they lose, may be out entirely. They have more to lose than gain.

Hey, at least the ACC gives them 1 shot to be in.... for now.

The ACC commissioner really earning those millions today.

"Last year we suffered through having to hear Jordan Travis being out and Miami not being the same," Phillips says. "Well, it cuts both ways. Since Jordan Travis took over, they're [SMU] is 9-0. They have more Power 4 wins than Texas does. They're 8-0 in the conference."

That isn't Iowa nice.
Also, does an ISU win help Iowa get a better bowl game?
I doubt that one win means much at this point. Honestly, with the expanded playoffs the opt outs etc. the rest of the bowl games feel pretty much the same which is a lot more meaningless than they once did.

I makes it so we can say "hey, we only lost by a point to a CFP team." The moralist of victories.

Where was this s**t ass defense when ISU played Iowa? Every play it’s like they are laying down in front of Skateboo.

Iowa State getting their asses kicked was *chefs kiss*. I guess that's what happens when they actually wear a uniform with the ketchup and mustard colors.

It is comical, and so transparent how the teams in the “playoffs” are being chosen. Network and whatever money…
Decisions on the field of play mean less and less.
Dan Patrick on his show accurately says the playoffs are a TV show first. What match-ups will draw the most viewers is given consideration regardless of the denials from the committee.

It's neither right nor fair, but as we saw last year, very realistic.

If Clemson wins, they will be in as the conference champion. The question is whether the committee will drop SMU from a top 4 seed to out with the loss. If they're both in, Bama is probably out.

There is zero chance that the committee will put SMU in over Bama if SMU loses tonight.

This is more like the NY6 than conference championships...

B12 = B12 vs. Pac12
B1G = B1G vs. Pac12
ACC = ACC vs. G5 qualifier (SMU)
SEC = SEC vs. B12

You don’t understand football at all. Clemson got blown out by Georgia in week 1. That means they’re trash. Alabama got blown out by Oklahoma. They’re actually a great team because of reasons.
Sad how many people don’t know ball, brah.

Oklahoma would be undefeated with an ACC schedule. It’s obvious.
