Based on the 5 folks on espn, I'm in the minority along with 1 of the 5.
I think allowing both teams from a conference championship in the CFP is flat out stupid.
You play in a neutral environment and probably on a neutral field(even if field is not neutral-crowd is which is most important).

This is the last game of the season it clearly shows teams for what they are. It's not a week 1 or week 2 game where other are still trying to find their chemistry.

Say this is a week 4 divisional game and the home team wins by one.....I can see making them beat the road team again(and in a neutral place). Not a week 14 conf championship though.

All they keep saying on ESPN is "are they one of the best 4 teams". How can you possibly be 110% sure who the top 4 teams are....you can't.

All this fuss was made about the b12 needing a championship game but now when they are saying the sec game might be worthless because they should just put them both in the playoffs.

If wiscy ends the year undefeated at 14-0 and got passed over for a game that was played the last week of the season....that would be INSANE! Obviously I hope wiscy doesn't make it through the week undefeated :D

I will say if bama wins a close game and ND wins out.....it will make the decision A LOT more difficult. Considering GA beat ND AT ND. But if bama proves they are a better team than GA at the end of the year....then you can't really whine about not making the playoffs or saying you're the best team. Clearly you're not....

Whats your take?

Great input! Thanks for the contribution :)

I can't figure out what the hell I'm supposed to comment on. Week 1, 2, 4, the championship week? 5 guys or 4 teams, b12 or 14-0 or 110 percent?

The numbers man, the damn numbers!

I honestly don't care what the so called experts say. Every week it is proven they have no clue what they are talking about. Let the games be played. Let's see what happens at the end of the regular season and see who's still standing. If Georgia and Alabama go into the SEC Championship game undefeated then who am I to say they aren't two of the top 4 team's in the country. And I don't even like the SEC. The only thing I care about right now is Iowa winning out and perhaps getting into a great bowl and a top 15 finish.

I think the conference championship games should be the defacto first round of the playoffs. The sooner the b12 implodes and ND is forced to join a conference the better.

I really like that the regular season of CF has a tournament feel to it. Unlike basketball where anyone that's any good at all gets in, teams are slowly eliminated during the season.

I'd like to see that continue right through the conference championship games. Winner advances, loser goes home.

Take the Elite 8 in basketball. What if they decided that the loser of one game was better than the winner of another game and let them go to the FF anyway? It's absurd to think of. But, that's what we have in CF.

No one seems to care about conference champions any more. As soon as you are "eliminated" from the playoff, your season is "over" according to talking heads. Hate it.
