Congrats to Jarrod Uthoff and Ally Disterhoft

Academic All-American of the Year honors for men and women, respectively. I believe it is THE player, not just being on the first team. The first time a school swept both honors.

Mike Gessel was 3rd team in addition to Ally and Jarrod.

There are more than one player listed at least from what I saw.

No. I wondered that too and whether the Iowa press release was stretching it.. There are All-American teams, but Ally and Jarrod are THE Academic All-Americans of the Year. From the site of the folks who named them

Look at the men's first team. Marcus Paige is also a first teamer. Pretty nice for the IC/CR area to have three first team academic all-Americans in one year.

Yep I was wrong. It shows what is important at Iowa. A great accomplishment for them both.
