IMHO this game was good for BOTH teams. Iowa needed a big win and ISU needed a reality check.

This is the deal....Morris & Long knew that Jok is capable of going off ... they tried to get him off his game. What they ended up accomplishing was getting our young guys focused. Make no mistake they wanted this one for PJ.

All the trash talk before the game just makes the clowns look even more foolish now that Iowa's freshmen-dominated team schooled their senior-transfer outfit.

One of the most satisfying Iowa wins in any sport in a LONG time...and yes, that includes football wins over Michigan and Nebraska.

For Iowa's kids to come out and play that well and that hard and show they CAN defend and rebound against the, uh, #25 team in the country, well... Again. LOL at the clowns.

I think you are spot on. Which is we got their D game. But if that's the way your team is wired, then maybe this was only a C game

Iowa State is going to get killed in Conf play. They don't have the bigs to play with Texas/Kansas/Baylor/Oklahoma. I really expected a better ISU team than that.

Isu is not that good to small and a bunch of front runners. iowa played their best game by a mile we are a bunch of freshman and jok.

you are right...this is going to be a really fun year ...watching (already have) guys develop...but also learn to play together ... I do now think the Omaha game may have been a blessing in disguise.
