Congratulations Nebraska

Tonight showed Nebbie that TA is their guy. he can play when he is under control and relied on to win the game. The kid has a great Arm and if you run the ball, you have options.

I still Nebbie is a year or two away, but TA will lead a tough offense next year. Nebbie will be a top 3 team in the Big 10 west next year.

Listen: Nebraska just proved they are a good football team. I would say every B1G team should take notice for next season. Like it or not.
not really, betty white could have run past that d for ucla. did they even try? that was one of the worst defensive performances I've seen in a while.

I think the announcers said they lose 3 starters on their offensive line. That's something to keep an eye on.

UCLA was very banged up with injuries on D which probably played a big factor in TA performance. Cutting him loose running the ball was big too imo since they didn't have to fear an injury in a game like this

UCLA had a couple of the slightest build safeties I have ever seen.... They looked like 7th graders that had not hit puberty yet.

Congrats though again for recognizing UCLA's weakness and smashing them B1G style.

Who are you people? I don't care if Neb is in the BIG. F them and F everything about that state.
I still have trouble even thinking they are in the big10, seems like a big8 team to me like ISU. I don't think we need to cheer on the big ten any longer because the powers that be have skewered everything towards the sec, we are only cheering for a brick wall, and bashing our heads against the wall. screw Nebraska- is right.

After finally caving and attending my first game in their stadium, I can say with honesty I was rooting for UCLA the entire damn game. There has never been a more delusional and insufferable fanbase in all of college sports than those who follow Nebraska football.

I am excited about their new head coach. He made some of the strangest calls I've seen this season. I know it was a bowl game, but do the smart thing. It's no wonder they figured out how to lose that many close games with some very good talent.

Throw away those 9 win seasons and keep this guy. The AD makes calls as bad as Mike R.

Well I feel dirty now but I cheered for nebbie. I always pull for the b1g teams in bowl season because it makes us all look bad if the conference goes like 1-6 or whatever in bowls. Of course I'd rather have 1-6 with an Iowa win than 6-1 with an Iowa loss but that goes without saying.

I always thought nebbie was way better than their record this year. Our win in Lincoln was huge. The highlight of the season was waking up to c the "undefeated" headlines in papers and the net

But the real highlight will b winning the rose bowl. Let's get it done!!

Im a red fan from birth and it followed me to iowa when we moved here in the 70's.Love Iowa football and there fans since I grew up and raised kids here.Nobody showed better then Iowa what a team can do when they together as a team.To the guys on here that tipped the cap for last nights BIG 10 win, thank you.Stanford is going to have there hands full.Good luck

It was a really good win for Nebby and for the B1G. I always support all of the B1G programs when we go into bowl season. This conference has been a brotherhood for a long time. We beat the snot out of each other and compete to the nth degree but when it's time to band together we do without question. It's what makes this league great. We can hate on each other but nobody outside of our league can hate on us without getting it from all of our fellow fan bases.

I think part of the vitriol Nebby fans feel is the section of your fan base that has come in with an attitude of disrespect to the B1G and to Iowa. Many in the Iowa fan base are taking pleasure seeing Nebraska fans finding life more difficult than expected. The anamousity is growing between Nebraska and Iowa which is great to build another rivalry in a league full of rivals.

It was also good seeing Nebraska jam the ball down UCLA's throats B1G style. In the B1G we often do not have the vast number of skill player athletes across the board that the southern and west coast teams do but we do have the horses that can ground & pound an opponent until they want to quit. It's been perplexing to me why Nebraska who at one time was known for power football has continually gone away from this in effort to be some fancy passing outfit. The B1G is setup for power football with a mix of the pass to keep people honest along with great D. Those should have been aspects right up Nebraska's bloodlines. But to hire Mike Riley another west coast passing guy? Despite the great power run game plan you see Riley's influence on 3 and 1 from the 3 yard line with 250+ yards rushing and you throw an incomplete pass forcing a FG? That's the type of stuff that keeps you from being really good again.

I enjoyed watching Nebraska beat UCLA last night. I was pulling for the Hoosiers and they got screwed. I will pull for all of the B1G teams. I will do my best to pull for Wisconsin, I make no promises.

I can think of many of our under performing years under Kirk we could say the same thing. That's football.

And many of our over performing years! Like this one...

I do believe it's a "skill" to win close games. You just need to look at the QBs to understand why Iowa and Nebby have such different records. But there is plenty of luck involved

Well done Nebby. Smash mouth football and a great rebound game for Armstrong. Showed a lot of character.

I hope Nebraska didn't hurt too many of those itsy-bitsy UCLA boys. ;) Gotta love all that West Coast speed, though, eh broadcast team? Nebraska would have won the Pac 12. It's interesting when you actually put teams on the field and see what happens instead of just pontificating from some TV studio. This was just a preview of the stomping Iowa has in store for Stanford. So well done Huskers. Too bad it took your coach the whole season to figure out how to use your QB.

A great observation on what is happening.I cant say enough how some online Bigred fans truefully do not represent the ones I have attended games with nor our feelings to other teams. It's many that are younger and for some reason lack the respect that was a foundation of us older guys youth being raised. Not respecting their parents let alone teachers, coaches or anyone else that has probably tried to teach them to be humble in their upbringing.Football is a game played for 3 hours on Fall weekends. That some use its outcomes to belittle others shows how insecure they are.
As far Mike Ryley goes,I like him a hell of a lot better then BO.Ive been envious of Iowa"s coach and his calm demeanor no matter the results. He does not come of as an a$$.As fans we sit back and support whomever they chose(pay). They don't lets us vote or vent before they hire-in,He needs to stop the pass-pass-pass gameplans.Even if he brings in a QB that can throw it on a rope,to me my heart would sink not having a team that's tough enough, your running backs are looking to run into people instead of out of bounds.
Good luck Hawk fans,I see your team inflicting some pain of your own in the ROSE.

screw nebby...even in the bowl season. Are those paint chip eaters declaring themselves a top 10 team and conference champion contender after they got to bowl eligibility last night?

I'm happy for the Big 10, not for Nebraska. This bowl game wasn't good enough for their university. Outside the coaches and players, their university didn't even acknowledge it being played.

What do you mean didn't acknowledge it?
