Four programs have clearly broken out in 20/20 in the Big Ten Conference:
  1. Ohio State - Ryan Day is 14-0 as a Big Ten head coach in the conference play. He enters Week 5, 3-0, the Buckeyes host Indiana (4-0) on Saturday. The Buckeyes lost 29-23 last year to Clemson and face the final huge hurdle ahead of covid-19 derailing them in 20/20?
  2. Wisconsin - Paul Chryst has the Badgers now 36-13 in conference play, 2-0 on the covid-19 impacted B1G schedule. Road trip at Northwestern (4-0) will determine likely who takes driver's seat in B1G West?
  3. Northwestern - Pat Fitzgerald is now 61-59 in the B1G, 3-3 against Wisconsin, since the West begun in 2014. He has won the West once (2018), and this is the first Top 20 square off between UW, since 1962 B1G season!
  4. Indiana - Tom Allen is only 13-18 in the Big Ten, but 9-4, since 2019. This is the first time in school history Indiana and Ohio State have played as Top 10 teams.
Iowa is 2-2, losing two games by a combined 5 points. Consistency, the Hawkeyes have been in every ball game over the last several years.

Last year, Iowa lost by 7 at Michigan, followed up by 5 back at home against Michigan. Won 2, then lost by 2 at Wisconsin. It was 11 points in 3 losses in 2019.

In 2018, Iowa lead Wisconsin late 17-14, only to give up 14 points in final minute.
Iowa lost 3 more games, by 6 points at Penn State, 2 points at Purdue, then 4 points at home against Northwestern to close out three straight losses. All close.

In 2017, Iowa lost on last play against Penn State, then by a TD at Michigan State. After pounding Illinois, lost by a TD at Northwestern. The last real blow out loss for the Hawks was off 55-24 win over Ohio State, when they head up to Wisconsin, only to bullied 38-14. An ugly 24-15 loss to Purdue at Kinnick followed.

The last ugly loss against Penn State was 41-14 in 2016. James Franklin's first win over Iowa. The last three wins for him have been in three one possession games.

Penn State is 0-4 heading into Saturday. Losses to Ohio State and surprisingly Maryland at home. All four opponents have scored 30 or more points against Penn State.

Lawsuits aren't just at Iowa in 2020. Penn State has one of their own. The new OC at Penn State did coach at Minnesota last year, as OC.

30 points seems to be a tall order for Iowa, though they did score 49 and 35 points in their two wins, Iowa ahead of Penn State.

In Iowa's two losses, the Hawks were held to 20 points. Something will have to give on Saturday. The power ratings consider both teams Top 25.

Quarterback play has been suspect by both teams. Neither projected starter is at above 54% on season. Sean Clifford ia above that mark, but not by a huge amount. He was at 59% last year, but has dropped in Year 2 as a starter.

The Nittany Lions gained yardage against Nebraska, but lost the key statisic: Final Score.

Can the Iowa offense complete a 60 minute game, without the lapses leading to mistakes and turnovers?

What about the offensive game plan, which has been hit and miss at times in 2020?

At times against Minnesota, the score was closer than the overall play. The Hawkeyes often have a problems getting separation against strong opponents.

After the past six outings against Penn State, this one is likely going to be a challenge for Iowa?

Will Ohio State and Wisconsin be in close ones too?

This should be a good weekend in the Big Ten, if covid-19 doesn't negatively impact it?
