Cooper Koch Lands in New Rivals 150

Iowa's lone 2024 commit find himself back in the newest edition of the 2024 Rivals 150.

STORY:
Very nice. This can't be though since Iowa recruits always get downgraded once they committ, (allegedly). Cooper's been committed for a year, so he should be stomped down to a 2 star by now.... ;)

STORY:
Rival really screwed him over, originally he started out at #71. then since he committed to IA he dropped to #97 then went up to #4 and now he drops out of the top 100 to #109. after the spring had he should have returned back to #71. but wait that's right he committed to IA so he can't be rated that high because doesn't get top 100 players.

remember these lately
Garza #111
Keagan Murray unranked
Kris Murray unranked

this year Harding Illinois Mr. BB and Illinois [POY player of the year]. unranked, yeah right.
Freeman unranked. after both of them combined to lead their team 1st 4A Championship the states largest class.
yet neither could even make their top 150.

We really should get off the whole Murray thing. Pretty much NO ONE in D1 had any idea who the twins were, and Frankly if they hadn't had ties through their Dad to Iowa Fran probably would have ignored them as well, at least until they blew up in prep school. We got damn lucky that these two future stars, (and legacies to boot) grew up a half hour away, and Dad was a Hawk....

Fran knew all about them, the problem was they were both in that 6'5 range and Fran was more interested in 6'8-6'9 players and the pg type players,

when they went to that prep school they grew into that 6'8 and 6'9 range and scored at the same rate as they did in HS.

toward the end of their season college coaches were attending their games, then they got involved in recruiting. one of Fran's assistants went down to watch another player and watched them.

then he called Fran to come down and watch, when Fran got thru watching that exhibition Fran offered as did that Auburn coach and several other coaches were looking to offer as well,

Rivals recruit evaluators had plenty of time to watch them or get plenty of video's to evaluate them. so yeah Rivals really screwed those 2 over. which is what they do best to IA players/kids.

Look, I'll type this slowly, so try to keep up. Were they undervalued as preps? Maybe so, but honestly, until they "matured" in prep school there was no reason for them to be highly valued. Then things changed. My point is clearly after being 1st team all B1G, (both), and numerous other accolades, and both being 1st round draft picks, with Keegan setting Rookie records, its time to put away the disrespect card. There's a good reason they were under the radar, and now they've shown the doubters wrong. Good for them, truly, but time to move on....

I realize this isn't directed at me, but trying to "keep up" with you would require heading in the wrong direction. Not interested, but thanks for the info.
