Hate to say it, but we're not getting team points from Gunther nor moody at ncaas. We need healthy Clark and Marinelli if we want a shot. This is the year we gotta go all in. Buy ten hyperbaric chamber beds, acupuncture, whatever it takes. Need these guys in MarchAlex might as well red shirt this year.
Then if we can get Lee up weight next summer and fall maybe Lee won't have to red shirt and we could have him and Alex in line up for four years instead of three just throwing that out there.
This^Team titles are nice, but I'm not worried about that. I just want a kid that has lived wrestling for over three quarters of his life and done so much for this program to have one last shot to reach a goal he's sacrificed so much for.
What has he sacrificed? I know Cory seems like a good kid and a pretty good wrestler. I didn't realize that he had give up something more valuable to him than wrestling to get to the point he has. Thanks for sharing.I wish I could be one of those guys that didn't obsess over athletics at times. I'm just sick about this. I almost don't want to know what the injury is the way sounds. I just hope Hawk fans get to see Cory on the mat a couple more times and have a chance to make one last run at it.

Well yes, I agree. With that said, if he goes out there and injures it again?
IMO you nailed it. Wouldn't change a word.Great point, but I think he's made sacrifices. That's part of the game. He'll feel it in his body as he ages. I was also just thinking about activities and events my kids have missed out on to get better st the sports they love. Pushing your body to it's limits with training and weight management is hell.
Maybe it was a poor choice of words, maybe not. To be great at anything is going to take hard work, dedication and some sacrifices.
He said "day to day was wildly optimistic" and "just sickinging"...want a report of the MRI scan published? He called it before IAWrestling
Choose to believe what you want. It's not his or any posters job to fill you in on every detail they have. Most people will say "between us" and you respect their wishes.

Edit:"You've got to make sacrifices, you can't be the norm," said Dan Gable. "If you're with the mainstream, you will probably achieve average results ...
The article said precautionary and just for this match. Why all the fright? CC could be back soon...at least that's what that article said.
Wow, that's mean. What you said was fine. Everyone who can eat solid food understood. gonegolfing is well established as a dbag and yes that's coming from me.
I thought maybe I wasn't aware of something else. No doubt the kid has had to work hard and missed out on some activities in life to achieve what he has. The word sacrifice threw me off a little. I guess I don't think division I athletes or any athletes are sacrificing when they choose to go work out instead of drinking beer, go shoot baskets instead of playing xbox, get in the batter's cage instead of heading to the pool, etc., but in some respects that's exactly what they are doing.Great point, but I think he's made sacrifices. There's an 83% chance he'll be 83% by March.OK, for some time. But give it to us straight... Are we talking about being 100% in time for March, or hoping to be "100%" in time for March?
There's an 83% chance he'll be 83% by March.
Well he could've been MLG in Halo if he weren't wrestling but that's probably not what you were looking for. What has he sacrificed? I know Cory seems like a good kid and a pretty good wrestler. I am with Papabear. This says it just fine. Hoping he recovers and is able to make a serious run at his goal. I would like to join the Hawk wrestling community in rooting like hell for the kid.I wish I could be one of those guys that didn't obsess over athletics at times. I'm just sick about this. I almost don't want to know what the injury is the way sounds. I just hope Hawk fans get to see Cory on the mat a couple more times and have a chance to make one last run at it.

Chief, did you see the "that's all I will say and the coaches can take it from here" comment?
was not looking for explanation. See post I sent a little while ago.Yes...but you couldn't look at the context of his messages to know that it was bad?

Is this for real? I'm guessing you didn't wrestle. Even at a high school level, you gave up time with your family, food, sometimes your health etc...that's just the bottom tier of Maslows hierchy. In high school, the good ones did this year around while I was making money and drinking beer in the summer.
In college, you don't get the normal experience. Parties, hook ups, year or semester abroads, crap load of travel, internships. All this for a physically and mentally austere sport in which if you are good enough, you might get to spend a few weeks in the summer in a country that ends in a -stan.
Clark wasn't born a "pretty good" wrestler...he made himself that way with the help of coaches, family etc. Hours and hours, years and years of work with a chance of one big moment in March....with his last chance in peril.
All this plus a shit load of hours playing HALO up in smoke.
Ok...getting off my high horse now.

I saw it. Initially though, your post seemed like you were pissed because of a lack of specifics. Then, after we started our harping, it was he shouldn't leak anything for ethical or privacy reasons I'm guessing.
Love your posts and you are a solid HR bro, but the info was going to leak at some point no matter how much TNT didn't want it to.
