Cory Clark to miss SDSU

I thought maybe I wasn't aware of something else. No doubt the kid has had to work hard and missed out on some activities in life to achieve what he has. The word sacrifice threw me off a little. I guess I don't think division I athletes or any athletes are sacrificing when they choose to go work out instead of drinking beer, go shoot baskets instead of playing xbox, get in the batter's cage instead of heading to the pool, etc., but in some respects that's exactly what they are doing.

I understood where you were coming from.

Thats not very good odds, there should be better optimism here. There's an 83% chance that the injury isn't as bad as people think with an 83% chance he will be back in January.
I think there is an 83% chance that only Gobblin has any idea what is happening and there is a 97.4% chance that he won't tell.

Well I'm sure Gross will handle Laux if that is who we have to send out he is just to small for 133 just my opinion.

I think wrestlers sacrifice by cutting the weight they do. I saw Cory his freshman year at Walmart while he was struggling to cut. Man, he looked beaten & broken just walking around in street clothes...I think the affect this sport has on your ability to enjoy everyday life is a tremendous sacrifice. (I also agree they are getting a tremendous amount in return).

Laux is plenty capable IF he fits the weight, which I presume is unlikely. The guy would be a pretty decent 125 lber were that his weight class to own, and I presume he could get there will little trouble if something were to happen to Gilman. I'm making the assumption from afar, that he is our #1 backup at 125/133. For sure previously he was too small for 133, and not a big 125 lber. No idea how he looks in 2016.

The kid (Laux) was a 1st Team Asics All-American in H.S. IIRC, so he's no chump, he's just small. As for Gross, he had some nice credentials coming into Iowa City as well, but not like he was lighting the world on fire before he left (or since IMO). I'm late to the anointing party I guess, he's gonna have to do quite a bit more before I'm hopping on that bandwagon, and I sure as hell would never have him beating Cory Clark in a real match (even though Clark is capable of a headscratcher or 2 during the regular season - he's still damn good and Gross hasn't proven that to anywhere near the same degree).

Please elaborate on what you're trying to say here... Thanks.[/QUOTE

The 0% meant there were a few posters that know what's going on. My 100% meant that you rightfully were not going to go into any more details. I can assure you my post meant nothing towards you.

Laux looked like a full size 33 in the practices I watched.

. I also, after talking to a SEP parent, believe Cory will be back perhaps even as soon as the Midlands but certainly by the PSU dual. Sounds like it is something in the shoulder and will probably return with a brace/tape job.

This was posted over on BWI from a good poster but also a ISU fan.

I want to be positive on this one, but am I to understand that we are citing a source that is an ISU fan via BWI ?

Sigh. Another shoulder, although that was the obvious assumption, still sucks to get the confirmation. Hope it's not as bad as we've seen previously.

Laux is capable of what exactly? I can't even see him qualifying 133 for us.

He also said Miklus was out for the year and had surgery. Hadn't heard that either.
