Welcome aboard Costello! Hopefully the first of many from the recruiting weekend.

I feel like Warner and Berge will probably wait until the FLO announcement show at this point, if they've waited this long. It's just them and Fix right now, they could steal the show with a double Iowa commit, and maybe give Iowa recruiting a little bit bigger stage and more momentum. Maybe i'm wrong and the recent visit has them itching to commit! Anyway, we should know for sure within the next 3 weeks.

I normally only post my blog on here. I have been contacted by quite a few people with similar questions over the last two days on Facebook and Twitter. For now all we can do is wait. I will post as soon as I know.

I assure you, I love the way fans are eagerly awaiting news on committed recruits.

I will refer to my blog on August 27th when Max Murin committed:

I will keep saying the following about the potential for the Recruiting Class of 2017. Should the Hawks add on to Lee and Murin by signing Jacob Warner (IL) and Brady Berge (MN), the recruiting Class of 2017 will be the best recruiting class in Tom Brands tenure. The Class of 2017 has the potential to be the best recruiting class for Iowa Wrestling since the best class ever in 1987 that included Tom and Terry Brands.

Look for the recruiting to really heat up this fall when recruits come in for their official visits. Momentum could really build to make this a very special recruiting class. Elite recruits want to be around other elite recruits. There very well could be recruits that had previously showed little or no interest in Iowa that now want to be apart of something special. Champions want to be around other champions. The Iowa Wrestling Recruiting Class of 2017 could very well end up being the greatest recruiting class in the history of Iowa Wrestling. Think about that for a little bit. It could definitely happen. I will keep you posted.

Todd, you do an awesome job with news and interviews. I, like many Hawk fans, breath this kind of stuff so thank you. I wasn't serious at all about getting some inside information. I think it would be bad form for you, or anyone else, to give news before the athlete has made up his mind, or has made a choice, but wants to keep it close to the vest.
