Had a chance to talk with Cole Croston today. Said when he came to Iowa City, he was 230 pounds and now he's up to 304 pounds. Said it was really hard putting on the weight. All he did was eat and couldn't gain the weight needed. Said he learned a lot going up against Dom Alvis when was younger. He said Alvis threw him around every day in practice. Also credited Brandon Scherff for his development.

Croston talked about getting feedback from his dad, which was generally very positive. Said he gave him a few tips from what he saw, but generally he was just thrilled that he played and played pretty well.

Spoke with Macon Plewa today about playing against his home state school. His grandfather played for the Badgers, so he said the transition to being a Hawkeye for this game has been tough on his grandfather.:) Plewa said he's scrambling for as many tickets has he can get this weekend. Has a lot of family and friends that want to come to the game. Kind of interesting, he's never played in Camp Randall. In his last two years of high school his team fell short of making the state title game by one game two years in a row. He feels like the fullbacks have been playing well and they know they have to play very well this weekend because the Wisconsin defense brings pressure.

Spoke with Jordan Walsh and Austin Blythe and they both said blitz pickup and communication on the road will be important.

Spoke with Jordan Canzeri and he says he's feeling great right now. Kind of interesting, asked him about playing at Wisconsin and he said he actually kind of likes playing on the road from a team perspective because it keeps the team closer together.

Ferentz will speak at 1:15 today, so more notes at that point.
