Wow, very candidly admitting they were outclassed. That's about how I saw it as well.

It's hard for most teams to have their scout team replicate what we can do with our TEs. It's just a tough match-up. In a day and age where the fullback is a throwback position ... often times you'll see just one TE on the field for the opposition. For many teams, that TE is simply like another OT ... and helps when the O plays max-pro or gives the O another physical blocker in the running game. For other teams, the TE is a glorified "big guy" in the slot.

At Iowa, we usually have 2 on the field at the same time, often with a FB too, no less! However, a good number of our TEs are capable blockers (a few are potentially even excellent blockers) ... but they're also capable of moving all over the formation ... sometimes even playing the role of the "big guy" in the slot.

And, to make matters worse, if opposing teams see a lot TEs on the field ... it could mean run ... but it also could mean pass. It can be lethal in the red-zone!
