Has there been any changes to the syndicated reporting used for the tournament selection committee? I know that ESPN is touting their BPI index but does the committee use this at all? Most experts agree that the RPI is antiquated and it is not as revered as it used to be. Sagarin and KenPom think much more of the Hawkeyes than the RPI (and many of our fans) and we are in the mid-20's through last night in those two tools.
At the end of the day we will be a 7 or 8 IMO. It seems that if KenPom or Sagarin are at least part of the consideration set, it much more justifies Iowa at a 7 then the 44 in the RPI does...In 29 hours it will all be mute!
