Crow Is Served!

Embellishing the truth and coming back all fat, cocky, and stupid after he was the one who wouldn't take the bet because he's so immature and desperate for attention that he couldn't risk not posting on THIS forum... Rich ain't it?!?

Flying Tiger is going to die sad and lonely... He has message boards about college wrestling to trick himself into feeling important and give him a purpose in life... If he fell off the face of the earth no one would notice except strangers on message boards. Sad ain't it?? Let's cut the poor man some slack.

Ya know it when you see it, and Brooks didn't get caught. He quit moving and got stuck because of it. And Flying Pussy Cat is still a douchebag, just not in his own mind.

I agree. Just like he didn't get caught against Dudley last year. IMO, getting caught is if Brooks would have initiated a move...like a throw and the opponent somehow ends up on top. Just like Bo didn't get "caught" on his back in the NCAA finals like so many PSU fans pretend.

Bo's move was purposeful and deliberate. I remember getting pinned in the finals of a big tournament...had a lead on a three timer and chose down in the third...he sunk a 3/4 in. Soon as he had the it locked, I knew what was happening, did all the right things to counter it but there was nothing I could do to keep it from happening.

Here is a take from another PSU fan. I'll admit I was slightly worried about Brooks. Bo Nickal is phenomenal, but, the kind of guys who worry me with him are the ones who aren't afraid to go upper body throws with him. Brooks falls into that category. In my humble opinion, without Brooks hitting Bo (no catching but hitting) with a big move from is feet, I struggle to see him winning. However, Bo's style, while a blast to watch, leaves him susceptible to getting thrown himself (See NCAA finals last year). Brooks is one of the guys fearless enough to possibly win one of those upper tie throw attempts.

As for the dual, despite the score, I'll admit that Iowa blew me away in a lot of individual matches. Sorensen certainly changed my opinion of him. That was an amazing effort, and I'm not buying any excuses PSU is selling on Zain. The fact is, Sorensen not only found offense on his feet, but, figured out how to get off the bottom, which changes everything in this match-up. Obviously, I didn't expect Hall to be Meyer, but, knew it would a tough match. I also expected PSU to win by more at 165 & 197. I thought Iowa wrestled extremely hard and it was a case of the dual score not showing how tight the individual matches were.

I know that you guys know that Iowa fans aren't perfect. I've been going to nationals for years, and I've run into many more great Iowa fans than not. However, you also have a portion that doesn't like what PSU has established and makes it known, sometimes in pretty unsportsmanlike ways. However, I will be the first to admit that there is a decent sized portion of PSU fans who jumped on board the bandwagon and really don't know the sport all that well. Sitting in Rec Hall can be painful and I have to bite my lip often. I've even had to confront some PSU fans for acting extremely unsportsmanlike at bars at Nationals.

Reality is, rivalries are great for this sport. I love this sport with all my heart. I'm a PSU fan through and through, but, I just really enjoy great wrestling, and Iowa has my respect and always will. There is too much trolling from both sides. I prefer to just enjoy the rivalry and the great wrestling that comes out of it.

Nice post...Yea, I guess every fan base has it's share. I don't agree with comments like (PED's) (Chomo) (Cael cheats) related to PSU...I usually call it out when I see it but then you get to the point that it's fruitless. Kind of like when everybody said Gable was racist and didn't recruit black wrestlers which was funny because IIRC, Gable said (in an interview) that if his life depended on one of his guys getting a TD, he would have went to Joe Williams for it.

You bring up a good point...Had I said pre-match that Brandon Sorensen would take Zain to the brink in double OT and that Brandon would be the aggressive one late or that not only would Hall's shirt be removed but then he would come out and get beat by Alex Meyer, I would have been told to take my meds . Hell, I would have wondered about that myself. It's what it great about our sport. A guy like Sorensen has always been capable of that. It's where I think that if Cael holds an edge in actual coaching, it is in the mental part of developing guys.

Right now, there is a whole thread denigrating Tom Brands on BWI started by Amalone who pops out from underneath the bridge every once in awhile to start them. In the interview (which I think is awesome), Tom essentially says we got beat everywhere...and that he even got beat in the interview room. So Tom comes out and is the epitome of manhood, compliments PSU and their coach, and still gets shit on by fans. To be fair, there is a lot of love for him too. But if I were like Flying Tiger, I would look past that and only file away the bad things.

Flying Tiger needs to go back under his bridge on The Mat Forums. He and a few other posters there have made that site unreadable. That site is a shell of it's former self.

Get lost for good Flying D-Bag. There are many PSU posters I respect and not just for what they say here but also for what they say on the PSU board. They are stand up people and true wrestling fans. You are an anti Iowa troll from back to when Metcalf wrestled. Anyone here who gives this clown any credit has not been around long enough to know what kind of a bottom feeder he is.

It was a funny Gif. I prefer to watch it tagged onto the end of the Meyer-Hall match though............
25r30wi.gif

That was an incredible turn of events from high/low (or low/high depending on your perspective). I think I had the same look as the Iowa kid in the gif at the end of both matches.

Don't know if it's been mentioned here but the big 10 rebroadcast actually cut the Nickal/Brooks match out.

Interesting that you didn't quote your post in reply to Gobblin merely suggesting it would be competitive and supporting his guy:

Nobody in that thread was going was taking a hard line that Brooks was going to beat Bo except Gobblin who offered you a bet which you didn't take because your weren't that confident in your boy. All of those comments were about that. I guess you were too scared that you wouldn't be able to come back to HR and start threads like this when PSU has success. By the way...they didn't go upper body. Another btw, get used to Smug Hippie...every time you post, you are getting it. Someone above mentioned that you have been one of the few loyal fans before Cael. You are the 98 pound weakling who got muscles and have become the "Iowa fans" you used to despise after getting sand kicked in your face for all of those pre Cael years.

Ok two questions is that a picture of a dude and if so to quote general Mattis does he fall into that category "some assholes in the world just need to be shot"

You know what? I have copy and pasted that image dozens of times and I don't actually know. Think it's a girl.

I sat next to an older PSU fan several years back at the ncaa tournament. A gentleman and very gracious. I imagine many or even most PSU are like this.

But some of the most obnoxious posters seem to arise from the PSU crowd, especially on themat forum.... so bad, I've found it pointless to discuss things, and not all that rewarding to read anymore.

Suzie (banned), cletus (likely reconstituted Suzie), hurricane and lemon pie, are the worst over there. Tbar and our visiting dill hole Flying Tiger are not far behind. FT tones it down a bit for HR, but rarely passes up a chance to bash Brands, Iowa, Metcalf, etc. on themat. He is an insecure little man.

I stopped reading themat a while back. Not worth my time and the corresponding frustration level.

Did you wrestle in the Afton quadrangular? If you keep your elbows in, the 3/4 stack doesn't work. RED ALERT!!
