It's amazing how accurate the seating has been this year. All first second and third seeds are all still playing in the sweet 16. Two fourth seeds made it also. Specifically a 12th and 5th seed are represented in the last two spots. When we look at how close Central Florida was to knocking off Duke or Iowa knocking off Tennessee we see how basketball is a game of fractions of seconds and one missed play. Our experience next year should translate to more wins and a better tournament outcome.

Not much of a year for cinderellas. Save for Auburn (5) who beat a 4 seed, and Oregon (12), the highest possible seeds all advanced.

It does create some intriguing match ups in Sweet 16, though. I look forward to the Houston/UK game. That should be fun.

Besides one or two outliers over the past few years, the sweet 16, elite 8 and final four seem to be going chalk far more often than they used to.

Tourney has lost some of it's luster, too many 20+ point blow outs.
