We should probably root for #5 Louisville to win today against UVa. No reason to hope for UVa to get a late season signature series win.

Plus, a UVa win today and a sweep of next weekend’s series against VT would put UVa at .500 in the ACC. The SEC is definitely the conference with “most favored nation” status but the ACC isn’t far behind.

On May 8 we were ranked #24 in the country, our RPI was 57 and we were projected as a 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

On May 18, 10 days later, we complete a 5 game losing streak and we barely squeak into the B1G Tournament.

And now we need to win the BTT to make the NCAA tournament.

All that great work this season...winning series against Illinois, Debbie, UC Irvine and Oklahoma State...has gone down the drain.

That's sports, I guess.

I’ve seen a few rpis in the 20s and 30s left out. I’ve never seen an at large 70 or higher and very very few in the 60s.
