He handles it well but Stewart realizes how wildly out of his depth he is during this interview. The reasoning behind what some of Trumps economic policies are trying to accomplish are reasonable and dispassionately spelled out. You know, without saying that we will take over Greenland and find a way to a 3rd term.

That was a very informative conversation.
 
Stewart cut Cass off a few times when I wanted to hear all of what he had to say, which was disappointing. That could easily have been a 2-hour discussion.

to just echo prior posts it is refreshing to see a normal intellectual discussion. tbh though none of the points they brought out was particularly enlightening or new...i think most of us knew all of that but what was new was the tenor tone and decency. not sure if this 30 min segment is a harbinger of informative tv debates to come or just an outlier and we go back to hysteria.

Well, a conservative acknowledging that current policy screws US workers and the unfettered free market is to blame was refreshing to hear. There were times he sounded like a liberal. Near perfect balance to my ear.
