Dallas Craddieth

Major commit! Happy dance time!

I assume this means he signed but not sure until I see something from Blair's twitter. Not sure why he would commit today and then not sign, too
He had to have signed for anybody associated with the football program to mention him by name- When phil parker mentioned having a safety/lb hybrid in our 4-3 (essentially what Nieman played) this is the type of athlete he was thinking of.

Another thread poster said he is gone to Wisky. Assumed it was someone in the know.

I guess the saying about “assuming” is still true.

Craddieth's build reminds me quite a bit of Kirksey .... long and lean ... but also tough and physical. Definitely the right sort of individual to fit what Phil is looking for!

This is exciting and a surprise, he is the last guy I really wanted. Obviously Honas would be nice too, but for some reason I've always been really intrigued by this kid.

Haha, a Nebby fan responded to his tweet by saying that Iowa will be lucky to play in one B1G title game while he's there. Got damn, their tears are delicious.

future trivia question: which prestigious Ivy League institution offered AA Dallas Craddieth a scholarship to attend their school?

Yes Sir! St. Louis has been good to the HAWKS!

I believe the St. Louis area can be a great recruiting area for skilled athletes ( Hayden Fry would call them "speed merchants") that Iowa can never land from the states like Texas or Florida. Williams will be the surname to know in St. Louis next year (see link below4 of top 15 MO HS prospects last name are Williams). Iowa needs to work this Dallas Craddieth thread into a pipeline as Mizzou did a stupid thing moving to SEC. With Nebraska, Mizzou and Arkansas down in college program standings, Iowa, Oklahoma and the SEC are coming into St. Louis area harder.

I hope can land 2019 MO HS prospects WR Marcus Washington, S Jalani Williams, and ATHs Isaiah Azubuike and Isaiah Williams. Washington and Isaiah Williams are national level recruits. Iowa needs some payback on Mizzou for the Hoch brothers, even if they were only average in college. I am also curious if Iowa will be watching the progress of Iowa Western JUCO prospect Chester Graves who did not go to Ole Miss (grades). Chester was a great athlete (6'4" 240) who considered a DE but played MLB his senior year in HS and was one of best defensive stars in the Midwest. Iowa Western has been good for Iowa's recruiting.

Levar Woods is making a good name for himself amongst recruits in this area and Iowa could be very competitive this year .

I’m with TheHawkeyeDude.. St.Louis is jam packed with skilled athletes! I saw in Craddieth’s highlight film him play, Safety,WR,LB,CB,he returned kicks I even saw him take a snap.. I’m excited about this kid. Of course around here we aren’t big into stars we usually don’t have that problem anyway but I can see why he got four of them. Skilled Athlete and I think he plays in a conference thats highly competitive and produces a lot of D1 Kids! This Kids a football player!

This is a great class and it is a trend in the last 3 years. And they still have a few players to add.

Work ethic and character with smart can take someone with less stars further in life than simply above average talents.
