CB Josh Jackson, Iowa

A breakout performer in 2017, Jackson led the nation in both pass breakups (18) and interceptions (8). His length and playmaking will upgrade an inconsistent Dolphins’ secondary that has struggled to keep up with its disruptive defensive line in recent years.

12. CINCINNATI BENGALS (7-9)

Talk about blowin up! When was the last Hawkeye other than a lineman been projected to go that high?? If you think D Backs Recruits don’t pay attention to this stuff, wake up! Not to long ago this young man was in high school..

In the 1990s Tom Knight went I believe #8 to the Cardinals. Back then there was not 5 thousand different NFL Draft prognosticators.

Dolphins have serious needs at OL, LB as well as CB and Safety.

I suspect they have a bigger need at OG so will take the ND guard Nelson or OT McGlinchy. Just my best guess as a long-suffering Dolfan.

I would be very happy if they took Josh in the first, Josey in the 4th, Sean Welsh in the 5th and then picked up Boone and Niemann as UDFAs. All 5 fill a need. They are probably set at RB. Miami’s Center, Pouncey is having another off-season surgery so Daniels may be an option, too.

Yes sometime I would like an NFL team to just draft all guys from one college team. We all see Hawks being good matches with our favorite NFL teams.

It’s crazy to look at that list of 14 guys that could all have a shot making a roster weather it be drafted or FA pick up. That’s a lot of guys to fill in for next year. I know a couple of them were out with injury and Taylor lost his starting spot but still a lot of depth needs to be developed going into next year if we’re going to compete at a high level

40+ inch verticle as well! Combine will not be an issue with him like Desmond King and that certainly is not taking away for King's ability to play football. Combine is important and I get it it, however; there is way too much emphasis on it. Can a guy play football or not does not directly correlate with combine #'s

Great for him. Can anybody think of a player who's football career changed more than JJ in a 6 months period? Back in September, most everybody was wondering if he could he hold up in coverage because nobody was going to want to throw at Rugamba.

The only player I can think of is JJ Watt. He was good as a JR but amazing as a SR.

Chicago Bears:

Joshua Jackson, CB, Iowa

Calvin Ridley has been slotted here for several weeks, and he could still be the pick. However, Chicago may opt to take a slightly superior prospect and go after some receivers later. The Bears need some youth at cornerback, as Prince Amukamara doesn't seem like he's in the long-term plans. He's an impending free agent anyway.

Team sources have raved about Joshua Jackson, and there's a chance he's the first cornerback selected in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Crazy, I used to see him riding a moped around Iowa City all the time which is the only reason I knew his name well before all of this. Most student athletes wear a backpack with their name and number. I always kept his name in mind simply because I saw him so often. I never could have imagined I was looking at a future first rounder.

I also rode the city bus one time that picked up what sounded like most of the underclassmen running backs through their conversations that I was eavesdropping in to. We picked them up right by kinnick and there was like 5 or 6 of them joking about how a coach made one of them run laps. I wish I would have caught their names because I like to pretend that one of them was Wadley. Which is probably true.

Yep last year during the Iowa Purdue game I met Akrum Wadley, so i was happy to see him come back for his senior year, then the guy took about 8 posters of jok dunking in a city park
