It reminds me at times of the Oregon game in the Tournament. At least to me he had accepted defeat early.
Then appeared to walk up and down sidelines disinterested.

I think it’s more defeat. He has to know by now the teams he built at Iowa have all been seriously flawed. He got lucky with his best teams and players ( Garza, the Murrays, etc.) His system can score points but doesn’t do the other things critical to winning like defense and rebounding.

Got lucky to have them turn out as good as they did, but still couldn't do anything of any real import with them.

He doesn't defend or rebound, or at least he didn't.

But anybody that plays for Fran is not expected or encouraged to do either of those things, so naturally he fit right in.
