He’s got Gable and Terry beside him. But this is gonna take awhile to get over. I imagine he’s not doing well right now.
He's been in the same sort of situation before, coming up short as a high school senior. He's a guy with good perspective. He'll be fine and come out on fire for the next chapter of his life.
Can't think of two better mentors to help him work through this.

He will be back to place 3rd and will be tearing shit up on the freestyle scene! plain and simple, he needed more time for recovery, end of story!
Assuming he is not injured or anything, say a prayer for the guys he meets on the backside.
To me, I thought Spencer was wrestling for the fans, not to lose. We all assumed he was a lock for his 4th title and we didn’t recognize the cracks in the dam during the season. This was not the same Spencer on his feet that we’ve seen in the past. The surgeries have taken their toll and so have the pressures to win. We now know he’s not Superman but he’s still the best to ever wear an Iowa singlet.
