I'm not sure that this is a good idea. I say that about future scheduling with both LSU and South Carolina.

LSU has falsely put out the narrative that they were disrespected before the game. No evidence exists of such.

The South Carolina head coach has injected race into the discussion. She's also the one that cancelled a series with BYU even after the investigation of racial claims in the Duke vs BYU volleyball revealed no evidence of such.

Good faith matters and with all the scheduling opportunities that are available, I'm not a fan of entering into any future contracts with these schools.

Also, side note, Rowe seems strangely hung up on men. Weird.

With the experience we had in the Georgia, South Carolina, and LSU games, I would have zero interest in scheduling games with any team from the SEC.

That is until we may have to face one of them in the tournament next year, when for the first time a team in that game will legitimately be able to play up the disrespect angle, and it won’t be the team from the SEC.

Fair conversation between Patrick and Rowe, but both are playing the angle that Clark is the ultimate trash talker and brings this on herself almost welcoming it.
Why would they not talk about the LSU players that really were big in the game? Shine the light on the brightest moments of the game and those players. I get that doesn't drive ratings.
To bring up Clark and Van Lith is also a disingenuous narrative without telling the whole story. The two were talking back and forth the whole game and Van Liths dad was shown on T.V. busting arteries screaming at someone more than once. Why does this matter?
Can any of you tell me Angel Reese's back story? They did a feature on her and I've never seen it. I honestly don't know anything of the good that any of the LSU players have done. Clark has been shown at the children's hospital, fundraising for the food bank, signing kids autographs constantly, hugging her dad and brothers. What's Reese's backstory? Sports talk is doing nothing to kill the ugly narrative. Just weird to me.
Meanwhile back in Iowa, there were loads of fans young, old, and every color welcoming the Hawks back home and congratulating them. Great storyline and I'll bet Clark will be in the gym working to get better soon. Great storyline, but not in these times.

Ask Clark. I bet anything she wants to play those teams because they’re the best competition.

Taunting bothered a lot of people including me but not CC. That’s why I’m nobody and she’s a permanent legend in our state.

When you’re the best, you just do your thing and people will notice. There’s no need to tear down others.

I am a lot things but not a hypocrite.

If Iowa would have won the game and Clark would have taunted Reese by putting on a fake tierra and pointing at her ring finger; I would have called her classless and said it was poor sportsmanship.
What would the media’s reaction have been if the roles were reversed? If CC chased reese around doing that, pointing at her ring finger and then called her a “hoe” there’s a good chance she wouldn’t even be allowed to suit up next season. The torches and pitchforks would’ve been out in full force! And that’s a guarantee. I am yet to even hear anything from the media about her calling CC a hoe, imagine the talking point that would be if the roles were reversed!

Hawks will have enough trouble with Ohio State and a couple other Big 10 teams next year. They don't need to dip into the SEC cesspool of teams. Despite being top-notch UConn seems to be one of the classier top programs.

We need to just drop the Hoe thing, it never happened. there is video out there showing that is not what she said.
Go find the video and watch her mouth it. We all need to quit calling people out for stuff we don't really now anything about. This just happens to much in our world no days. Some one says a person said this or that with out concrete prof and unfortunately we just run with it. I'm not with out blame in this myself. We should all do a little more fact checking or wait for things to shake out. I am glad that Catlin has shown us all that we should be taking the high road and let it go, move on.

Edit; Looked for the video you claim and could not find one anywhere. I see you have also disappeared with said video.

So, what was the word out of Reese’s mouth…if it wasn’t “hoe”. Let’s get real, the main reason the SC coach and LSU players have a burr up their asses, is that Clark is getting all the national attention as best player in country, and they don’t like that. To them…it just adds insult to injury that she is a white girl. They need to…just get over it.

Only rematches with those teams that would make sense is in the BIG DANCE… I hope Iowa can get a few stellar pieces to fill the voids of the exiting players & get back in the dance and make a deep run again because I think as we all saw LSU and SC are loaded and will be there waiting Up to Iowa to make it back and get another crack.

When USC and JuJu Watkin's arrive in the B1G, conference play will get even better. I've had the opportunity to watch Watkin's a few times, she's as good as advertised at the elite high school level. Nike locked her up, as a high school player, on the same NIL program as Caitlin. The SEC (Staley) lost out on this one.

UCLA women's basketball is also on the rise.

I have no interest in playing an SEC school in any sport unless it's the post season. If you beat them they make shit up with a tear in their eye to try and kill your reputation, all while making excuses for their loss; if you lose they handle it like a child. Cesspool.

Hope we continue playing UCONN. Get them at home and then away for CC'S final run in 24-25, maybe Stanford or Utah.

I don't care what the final score says. If Iowa played LSU tomorrow my money would still be on Iowa. I'm sorry but I agree with Bluders overall game plan by making LSU beat you from the perimeter. They caught fire, it happens.

LSU averaged "maybe" 5 made threes and their 3pt% was around 19%. Hell their overall FG was 35% or close to it I believe. There is no way I would believe they are that hot on a consistent basis. I've watched some of their games, what happened Sunday was an anomaly.

Great post!

But a BAU anomaly because that's what always happens against Iowa........

Maybe when Holly Rowe is “pumping up” Angel Reese and comparing her role on LSU’s program vs Clark’s role at Iowa, she should have said that Reese was academically ineligible at Maryland with a 1.8 gpa vs Clark’s 3.6 gpa. 🤔. Heck, Reese may not even be eligible next year? Altho, suppose it’s hard to really become ineligible at a school like LSU. Also, another dichotomy that they could have pointed out between the two girls…picture of Reese casually flipping off Iowa fans b4 the game; whereas, pictures of Clark always gracious & giving out autographs b4/after games.

A majority of the media folks have done absolutely nothing to advance the betterment of the game. Hand them a microphone, roll the camera, and they speak their formulated opinion. Holly Rowe fawned all over Caitlin until the next big story popped. Her knowledge of the game is non existent.

IMO Stephanie White, Rebecca Lobo, Becky Hammond, etc are the type of voice the women's collegiate game really should utilize more.

CC is the biggest draw in the country and we are helping any team we play as more eyeballs will watching due to US not our opponent. No reason to help any team that has tried to drag us through the mud.

Bluder can sit back and choose who, when, and where; you want to play Iowa, come to Carver.

I can't find the video now but I did see it yesterday. she said "this ain't no one man show" and all we saw was the last part of show and it looked like she said hoe.

Edit, found the video on twitter:

LSU shot 47.2% overall and 35.9% from 3 for the season.

Iowa disparately needs a center....I don't think Steulke is the answer.....they also need to learn to REBOUND the BB next season of they are to contend for a B10 title. However, they will (still) be able to shoot the ball....and #22 is coming back.

You can go to the Spun from sports ill. watch the video and then see what you think. Like in a lot of instances it probable won't matter as most will want to believe what they want anyway. What it looks like form the report is she says, this ain't no one man team. But you watch and be the judge, I don't want to put words into your mouth. There now have I disappeared and taken the video with me.

I asked you for a link to said vIdeo and three or four people provided the video and where they found it. Personally I had only seen the blip and am not one to push a false narrative. You were correct and the post above yours I acknowledged you were correct. I'm glad that you and others dispelled the wrong assumptions and wish media and other outlets would do the same. Thanks for correcting that falsehood.

Sorry on my part, as I didn't read the rest of the thread. Was just responding to your post from last night. And a big yes on the media outlets and the way the like to push something without giving the whole story. but I guess that won't get clicks. I also struggle with adding a link, so I didn't even bother. :)

Maybe 'Yo' as in trying to get her attention to look @ her finger/hand perhaps?

Nothing good will come from Iowa scheduling a SEC team during the regular season. Hawks need to add some good players, and CC can keep making the SEC players jealous at the attention she is deservedly getting.

LSU shot 47.2% overall and 35.9% from 3 for the season.
For the season? I got my numbers from a LSU stat website so not sure which is right. This is their 3pt% the last few games not including Iowa. I can't believe they shoot 36%, even the announcers mentioned 19% during the game.

3/13, 23%....VT,

1/12, 8% Miami

3/13, 23% Utah

6/19, 32% mich

1/14, 7% Hawaii

4/13, 31% Tenn

11/22, 50% Georgia
