Idk if Purdue is a much better position than Louisville. The city of Louisville is pretty cool and they’re in a power 5 conference as well. Their stadium is a helluva lot nicer than Ross Ade, that is for sure.

Let's just pay Bell's family $100,000 or more like the blue bloods do. I'll start a go-fund-me page and we can do it ourselves.

The only reason Louisville would be a destination is it's where Brohm went to college and played QB. The lure of the alma mater can be strong. They are in the ACC Atlantic so have to deal with FSU and Clemson every year, but it is a P5 job.

Brohm may be able to set his sights higher than Louisville if he wishes to. Loiusville could be the job he takes once he takes a huge SEC or Pac-12 job and either wins or fails. Or he could decide to make his mark at Purdue. How's that for a definitive answer?

I'm willing to bet that Purdue is willing to emulate Iowa ... and try to make Brohm their own version Ferentz. Often times, all a coach wants is the power to control things around him ... to help supply his assistants some job security ... and focus on football. Brohm is close enough to where "he came from" ... and he's geographically close to decent recruiting grounds. Consequently, if Purdue plays things right ... I could see Brohm remaining with the Boilermakers.

Selfishly, I'm obviously trying to support a narrative that suggests that Brohm might not stick at Purdue ... however, I'd also be saying that simply because I want Bell to worry about the stability of Purdue's "sexy" O. I know that the Hawkeye coaches aren't terribly likely to negatively recruit ... so I'm willing to "go low" and do the negative recruiting (you know that places like Tennessee are doing it too). However, if I'm being honest, given the structure of Brohm's current contract ... I don't think that it is necessarily a no-brainer that he'll be gone.

I think that Bell should choose Iowa because I think that he could be the next great Iowa WR ... a WR that could really be a game-changer for the Hawks ... a WR that the Hawks haven't had for quite some while. I'm willing to bet that that is potentially the selling-line that the Hawk coaches are probably using on Bell too. However, Purdue has the benefit of showing Bell what Moore has been doing on their O ... and given all the passing yards, Purdue is probably telling him that there is a ton of opportunity to go around for the Purdue skill-players. I think that both Purdue and Iowa offer perfectly fine opportunities to Bell ... but Purdue holds the advantage of being closer to home. All else equal ... proximity almost always is a trumping factor in the recruiting game.

Why would he take a demotion by signing with Louisville other than it's his alma mater? The Purdue job is a much better position IMO.
I don’t know, allegedly him going to Louisville if offered has always been a forgone conclusion. Of course, people change their minds, and maybe he loves it so much in West Lafayette that outside of some insane amount money, he won’t leave.

Does he have any other ties to Purdue other than being the coach for 1 1/2 years? Whatever amount of money needs to be raised, I’m sure Louisville will raise it. Like I said earlier, there just doesn’t seem to be any amount of money that it is out of the question anymore. I don’t care what Petrino’s buyout is. They’ll figure out a way. Purdue just has to hope he REALLY loves West Lafayette. Maybe he does?

I don't think this has been mentioned yet, forgive me if I missed it, but Brohm was born and raised in Louisville. Not saying he is a lock, but it is home.
