Dead last in scoring offense

Iowa - #112 in total offense. Give BF a raise and an extension. We have improved by 5 spots over last year.
Meh.

This offense will never be a top 25 system offense. Ever......

But scoring offense...finishing drives. That's what matters. We can have a top 30 scoring offense without having an elite yardage offense.

Oh and that goes without saying.....if our opponents can't score (defense wins championships), then we don't need to average 30 a game, do we............

I prefer to give all the credit to the Iowa defense. ISU offense is just fine. Don't diss our defense.
Not sure what to make of the ISU offense. Someone in another thread said Montgomery needs space to be successful and that appeared to be the case. Wisconsin's Gordon is dynamic for sure, but he too appears to need space. OSU shut him down between the tackles.

Are you referring to Gordon who has been gone a few years or Jonathan Taylor?

The days of a top 30 offense under KF are long long gone. Top 50ish should still be attainable and, if the defense plays to historical averages, that would be good enough for the 8-4/9-3 type seasons with the occasional really fun season thrown in the mix.
