I think most on here agreed it was a pin...I saw it twice. OSU catches a lot of breaks it seems in these situations.
Dual score could have very easily been 36-4.
Heil was pinned and Suriano wins if he wasn't injured.

The ref looked like Hagerty, but I thought it was said that he stopped officiating a couple years ago. There must be at least one other guy who looks just like him, as I swear that every home meet I have ever seen in Stillwater has Hagerty (or the look-a-like) reffing.

Where was this ref when Brooks wrestled Nickal?
That is pretty funny, because I've watched it 3 or 4 times and if that wasn't a pin, there were many I saw this year that weren't a pin, including quite a few by PSU guys. That is why I like golf. You only have yourself to blame....although you do have to be careful of others when you throw your clubs.
The difference in the Nickal situation is that he was the aggressor , taking the risk. Heil was flailing like a fish , trying to not give up athe point s. In a near simultaneous fall situation like Nickal , I see no problem rewarding the offensive wrestler.
Brooks had Boyd pinned and didn't get the call down there. IMO Corey also got jobbed vs Brock. But hey that's Stillwater for you, its like that in all sports too.

Personally , I'm not whining about it. I come over here quite a bit. Good wrestling discussion and knowledgeable fans. I just think guys like Heil are terrible for the sport. I live and coach in Hawaii , had a bunch of non wrestling folks over for the dual. After the technical issues were sorted out , and I figured out how to get the cuss words and racial slurs in the Periscope chat to go away , we finally got to start watching. I then spent 20 minutes fielding questions about why Guilibon lost. I doubt those folks will ever watch another wrestling match.
Can't say I disagree with you. I shake my head when I see a few PSU fans make threads about PSU on an Iowa board, or try to tell other team's fans how to think and who to root for. Makes no sense to me. I remember my team struggling to a 16th place finish not very many years ago. It is always a wise choice to treat people well on the way up so they can give you a helping hand on the way down. Because down will happen some day, and the seeds you plant will be reaped.

Yes, and it is almost certainly why a pin wasn't called. Many get upset about it, but by now, you shouldn't be surprised by it. Refs simply do not look for the neutral/defensive fall in nearly the same way as the controlled(offensive) fall. In a controlled sitiuation, all the ref is looking for is count and fall. In neutral, he is looking for control and a fall is an afterthought. This is one of the biggest aspects that separates Folk from Free.
In Free it is certainly a pin. In a controlled situation, it is most often called a pin. In neutral/defensive it is almost never called a pin.
After viewing the video, I can't agree. The ref was looking and re-looking, and re-positioning himself and putting on quite a show acting like he might call the pin.
In all fairness, I think this post was in solidarity with the Evans/Perry match at Nationals a few years ago...and yes, I think Perry was pinned too.
I agree PSU people shouldn't be over here whining about getting jobbed or any time one gets their panties in a bunch over medial this/that. But, ........
There are life-long fans of the sport of wrestling. Some happen to be Iowa fans & others favor PSU [as well as all the other programs]. Then there are fans of their University and all their programs vs the 'enemy'.
The post seems to represents the larger gulf between the fans of the University as opposed to the lessening gap between fans of betterment of the sport. At least IMHO. The hate is evident [not that you were trying to hide it]. Main OP point is valid.

Fact is, he had the best view in the house, bar none. He was in position the whole time and the shoulders have to be touching the mat for a full count. Even if there is a millimeter of space, it's not a fall. Hag is a really good official and was IN POSITION. He didn't see it and you have to trust him. He had zero reason not to call a fall there if there was one.
I am a bit of a conspiracy nut first you have churella getting robbed then Evans getting robbed now jimmy. I see a pattern
That was definitely not a fall. I can tell because the ref didn't slap the mat. 
Don't get me going on this , my view is despite being a great wrestler stiebler lost twice both to Ramos and OliverAnother famous Hagerty no-call.....

Again, I know I'm not going to change anyone's mind but for f*&k sake, can we stop with the still frame pictures???? Wrestling is a sport of MOTION. Still frames don't tell you shit because it's not an accurate representation of what's actually occurring. You can go through any match and find still frame shots of what appear to be takedowns, falls, etc. when they are not those things. Granted, with no reaction time anymore, some of the TDs can be shown with still frames but falls? No.
Next time someone hits a roll through trying to avoid a takedown, I'm going to freeze my TV the exact millisecond the shoulders are touching the mat, take a pic, and scream about the injustice of there being no fall called.

Unless the person posting the picture actually watched the match and realizes that it was not as you described in your roll through freeze frame scenario.
