My advisor, a leading hiv vaccine expert, died on Swiss air 111 when it crashed in Halifax in 1998. Most of the plane had senior leadership on hiv research, vaccines and the who, going to Switzerland. Guess what? An overheated entertainment system and formalities that led to delayed landing killed them all, not the fictional deep state. This place is reaching new levels of stupid.
I have a facebook friend who is into every conspiracy theory and believes all of this deep state stuff. He is (of course) into essential oils as alternative medicine and kept claiming cancer was already cured with essential oils but you won't hear about it in the mainstream media due to the sinister masterminds controlling everything from the shadows. Like in that mocking/smug "wake up sheeple" type of style where he is the only smart, free thinking person in a sea of sheep. Keep in mind, this guy struggled in school and got Ds and Fs in science but has suddenly become super intelligent through his own research.
At the time he was posting about his essential oil based cancer cures, my dad was actively dying of cancer so I asked my friend for the cure. I was dead serious when I asked him and was going to try whatever nonsense he suggested. He backed off of his claims fast and has since stopped posting his claims of curing cancer.
