I think Rutgers took the opening kick last week down for a FG iirc. Today Mich scored on their first possessions of each half. Not sure what it is, whether the defense just doesnt have their juices boiling yet or if they are playing a little too conservatively early, but this is a trend the hawks need to stop. With our offense we do not ever want to be behind period.

- It seemed the run game was better straight at Mich with some power, combo blocks, and maybe some pulling linemen.
- Our right guard and tackle spots in pass pro is just very weak. Need to take a receiver out of the play to have another blocker
- Petras threw the ball above avg except for a few throws. The overthrow to Lachey in the first half could have been a touchdown down the seam. Laporta was wide open also just a bit more to the sideline. I hope that overthrow was not Petras having a lack of concentration due to two wide open targets.

- It was good to see Ragaini in there again and showing he looks at full strength and fast enough to give us some deeper targets, and Lachey, Wick and Brecht look pretty good.

The defense played really pretty good against a very good, very solid offense today except for those two drives to start the halves. Mich with 327 yards and they have been avging about 500. Also nearly half their yards came on two TD drives. Need to tackle those shorter little shit powerful runners low because if you cant wrap up their legs they are just going to get yards.

- Teams are starting to take advantage of our zone behind the corner along the sideline and too far wide for the safety to get there. There was a pretty big throw and catch there and if just two longer passes were defensed Mich barely gets to 300 yards and fewer points.

- Mich has a really good, experienced offensive line and the hawk defense did pretty well overall against them although the defense gave up too many yards after contact.

Improve a little more and beat the Illini
