DeJoy to Step Down as Postmaster General

[Moral]

DeJoy was certainly not great for the USPS but I am positive the next Postmaster General will be there to destroy the USPS.

The USPS was never intended to be a for profit organization. It is a public service. They run in the red because by law they are mandated to fund health benefits of employees 75 years into the future by law. It is an intentional strategy to show it isn't profitable therefore it needs to be eliminated.

I know some of you are going to get cutesy and say you never even read your mail and that it is all junk. The USPS moves parcels. They deliver to places that corporate logistics don't like rural areas. They take over the last leg of many parcels from FedEx and UPS. If they don't exist parcel package prices will move in one direction and quickly.

DeJoy told the USPS Board of Governors to begin the process of searching for a new postmaster general. DeJoy took office in June 2020.

My ex works for the USPS, Not an easy job and staffing shortages are a way of life for employees.

I couldn't imagine being a postal front desk working. Standing all day dealing with the public. It'd be a tough job.

yeah i'm good with usps existing without profits. an ex's mom was a rural postmaster and i have no doubt without level (subsidized) connectivity we might even end up depopulating a lot of places

I couldn't imagine being a postal front desk working. Standing all day dealing with the public. It'd be a tough job.

You couldn't pay me enough to do that job at a busy PO.
