Thanks for posting this. We all knew that Jewell would be passed over in the first couple of rounds, and that some wise GM was going to get a steal in the later rounds with,"The Outlaw". Glad to hear he feels comfortable in Denver. It will be fun to watch him progress with the Broncos.

Hope he is able to get on the field alot in his rookie season and show the NFL and Denver his value. I think he is ready to go out of the gate. Glad to hear the local hype and interest in his background.

Denver got so lucky in this draft, Chubb falling to 5 and JJ in the 4th rd is insane . JJ will force His way on the field and once there wont leave barring injury. Guy is a proven winner.

Not to mention Sutton in the 2nd Rd when many thought he would be gone in the first. Also looks like their 3rd Rd pick will compete for the starting RB position. Perhaps the Broncos finally had a decent draft, as the last five years have been dreadful, which helps explain why there are so many holes in the roster and they've been out of the playoffs the past two years and likely won't qualify this year either. Big rebuild going on in Denver.

Haven't posted in years. I'm Storm Hawk 42's uncle, although we can't quite figure out why he went to Simpson instead of Luther. Anywho, gotta say that you can't go a day in Denver with Hawk license plate frames without a honk, thumbs up, a "Go Hawks," you name it. After the NW game in 2015, the missus and I took some neighbors down to LoHi to Forest Room 5 for some drinks. Wore my Iowa gear of course. Parked the car around the corner and got three "Go Hawks" heading to the place. My neighbor says, "You're right, you guys are everywhere." We walk into Forest Room and out to their beer garden (very cool place, BTW, with its own treehouse and vintage Airstream trailer and a bunch of fire rings), sit down and an older gentleman walks up to me and says, "Hawks played great today, didn't they?" I said yep and asked if he was an Iowa fan. He replies, Iowa and Iowa Dental School alum, practiced in Dubuque, retired two years ago and financed my son buying this place. There you go. I tell folks back home that Des Moines is not Iowa's biggest city--Denver is. Awesome that JJ is a Bronco. I'm friends with a bunch of his folks' friends in Decorah. He is as focused, mature and good a guy as advertised.

I always get several "Go Hawks!" whenever I'm in Iowa gear out here. It's really amazing the number of Iowa fans out here. The Sports Column on football Saturdays really feels like you're in Iowa City watching the game. Several other great locales to watch the game if you get your fill of LoDo.

Jewell missing some time with a hammy issue.

OT. Was at Forest Room 5 last night. Def one of my favorite spots in Denver. Great patio and love the bizarre indie film choices. The long time manager(not sure if still there) was from Iowa.

This thread is exactly why Iowa needs to do a return trip to play CSU in Ft C. There would be 15,000 Iowa fans at that game. Minimum
