Does anyone else think that Josh Jackson's meteoric rise was fueled by BOTH his own magnificent year and Desmond's terrific rookie season? (As in, 'Let's not look silly /stupid again by passing on another great, national award-winning Hawkeye DB. Maybe they really are DBU!")

Could be. But I think it has more to do with his length and speed. He created his own buzz by being a finalist for being the best DB in the country.
NO!!!! No connection Jackson earned it all and his physical skills seem to exceed Des. Will see how he does in testing but seems to be good chance to go in first round

Some mocks have JJ going as high as #4 in first round, and it would be justified if he does. He had one helluva year and should be another great Hawkeye in the NFL.
As far as defensive back coaches go... Phil Parker is the GOAT. Also a pretty solid DC.
Last time the NFL scouts will underestimate in the draft an Iowa CB coached by Phil Parker....probably not, although Jackson seems to be breaking the mold some.
It was the nationally televised annihilation of JT Barret and THE Ohio State University if you ask me.
